A wild guess bit pretty sure Heart has sold more albums than anyone in the north west
Imma guess Quincy Jones is probably the leader in the clubhouse if you want to go down that path.

But Heart has to be far and away the best selling artist from the Northwest. Probably by double at least.

Though that fuck Macklemore rings the register in high quantity via the interwebs. He might catch them eventually.
You clearly underestimate Nirvana's worldwide appeal. They've sold 75 million albums. Heart's sold 35 mill.

Macklemore will never touch Heart's sales let alone Nirvana's.

After a little more research here's what I've found:

Nirvana 75 million
PJ 60 million
AIC and Heart both at 35 million
Soundgarden 22.5 million

But number one looks like Jimi Hendrix, with 80 million sold worldwide.

Yeah - I hear you. Everyone listened to and wanted to bang the Wilsons when Dreamboat Annie and Little Queen were out. It was good music.

But then they went horribly wrong - and miraculously, the albums I thought were pieces of shit were their biggest sellers.

I don't give a fuck that Pearl Jam sold more than Soundgarden, either - Badmotorfinger and Superunknown are albums I can listen to over and over and I don't think PJ ever had an album I wanted to play over again.

It makes sense Jimi would set the bar. Who the fuck in the world doesn't like Jimi?
