Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Let's not get too confident about Saturday...
The last several years there has been a ton of optimism and hype (maybe not on this board but among the Doogs) going into Oregon week and each and every time we got plungered. This week's game is probably the most winnable one since 2003 but I'm still cautious.
2011: Last game at the old Husky Stadium. 1991 team honored. Many felt there's no way we could lose that night. Got plungered.
2012: Coming off the upset of Stanford at the Clink. Media was propping up Wilcox as a defensive guru that knew how to beat Oregon. Got plungered.
2013: Gameday on campus. Coming off a moral victory against Stanford. Media propping up Sark's new offense as being able to go head to head with Chip's. Got plungered.
2014: Coming off a beatdown of Cal. Media was propping up Petersen as beating Oregon twice at Boise Got plungered.
2015: Coming of an upset of USC. Media talking about this defense being able to shut down Oregon and that Oregon is done. ??????

I'm confident Pete needs to win this one.
I'm not at all confident he will.
Win or get the fuck out.
If our downs syndrome younger brother can win in Eugene, we sure as fuck can win in Seattle
Victor being off the field might cost us 14 points in the first half. Him and KB are MVPs in the realest sense of that term.
I could see us getting boat-raced, honestly.
I just don't really know what to expect because we improved last year as the season went on and we might do that again this year. Or we might shit the bed like we did in every important game last year.
I guess we'll find out Saturday, but right now this feels like an L.
Kinda like Charlie Brown being confident that this time Lucy won't pull the football away.
Next year Oregon will have a quarterback not named lockie or Allie, the defense can't get worse, and Freeman has to come back next year. So there's that.
Who knows. If the coaches remain, maybe there isn't a floor.
