For anyone born after 1990, 6-6 was a dog shit season then. If Corey Williams hadn't caught a TD to beat the Cougits, they would have been 5-7. That was a big deal back then after 25 straight years of winning seasons.

I hated the Gilby hire. The original dooging was saying Gilby was put in a 'can't win' position. Apparently if you are not named permanent coach immediately, you can't beat Nevada at home and the next year you must go 1-10 (after your team has had 30 straight .500+ seasons).
