Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
If the Pac-10 had never punished Washington...
Perhaps the Huskies would have remained a national power and the conference would be much stronger today in terms of generating TV revenue.
The counter argument, of course, is that the liberal fucks in the UW athletic department would have eventually fucked everything up sooner or later.

The SEC has built 3 or 4 teams as major brands and that leads to the perception that they are top to bottom TUFF!
The PAC 12 is now considered to be like Oregon - only one good team and that team will fold when punched in the mouth by some non conference power
And yes, UW was looking for any reason to kill the power program James built. They pretty much conspired with the Pac 10 to do so
I still think Oregon becomes a good team, but they don't win 3/4 or 5/7 with James coaching instead of Lambo. No way in fucking hell. As for this little run Chimp had, who knows. Maybe Washington doesn't tank from 2004-2008 under incompetent coaches.
I still think the national perception of the teams besides the Condoms remains ignorant. People who really follow college football know Warshington was a good Pac 12 team for many years, but most people just follow their team and maybe their conference. So no, it wouldn't have made a huge difference IMO.
How about this: What if Colorado had hired Don James the year before you guys did? They interviewed him, but he was their second choice (their mistake, obviously).
