Seattle buttfucking Denver was not a moment. It was a game. A cool result for a Seahawk fan but not a real climactic game nor did it have a single moment that I really remember.
The 1991 UW football season was just that...a season. It wasn't a moment. There were some great moments to consider. Beno going to the house against Cal and/or USC might make my list of five in fact I'm almost sure one of them would.
Lynch's "beast mode" run should be on a lot of lists. It might make mine.
The 1995 playoff series with the Yanks had a lot of memorable moments and might have been one of the most entertaining baseball series ever played. That double was the crowning moment to an already intense series and game. I don't see the need to tear it down, even if it was ultimately fairly meaningless with the way they fell flat in the ALCS.
That Seahawk game yesterday definitely has one or two plays that would make the list. I won't argue that. I'm only a casual fan of the Hawks and the NFL but I came out of my chair a couple of times.
1. The two point conversion 2. The on side 3. The Kearse catch 4. Sherman tips the ball in last year's NFC championship game 5. Super Mario doing the Heisman pose in the Rose Bowl 6. Edgar's double
Seattle buttfucking Denver and Manning doesn't make the list?
Son...
That whole game was a new level.
But sphincter pinching, holy shit moments ...
Minus the Super Mario pose ... to me that was just funny as shit. Until Polk ... he was my favorite Husky.

What the fuck...
In the Super Bowl that was just one giant ass kicking.

What the fuck...
No holy mother fucking shit moments.
Safety on the first play?
Kam Chancellor destroying Thomas on the bubble screen?
Percy taking the second half kickoff to the house?
Kearse's + Baldwin's filthy tds?
Those plays >>>>>>> Mariners historic moments compiled together

Like the 1st snap? And a 5td victory against arguably the best qb in NFL history? Every play was a white-man high 5 moment...what u talkin bout. And waiting 14 hours for a holy mother fucking shit baseball moment isnt sports. Its labor!

The best QB in NFL history who choked in every major game minus 1 his entire career dating back to college?
Eh ... the game was great. The championship was great.
The NFC Title match against 49ers was much better and ended with a holy shit mother fucker jump out of your chair moment
I know most of you here will throw acid on my face like a cheating Iranian whore for saying this, but that M's series was one of the biggest moments of my childhood. To that point I hadn't experienced anything like it.
The Double Choke is definitely a HUGE moment (i'm still trying to process how improbable), but I can't discount the impact that series and double had on me at that time. Griffey Sliding home and popping to his feet in celebration is an iconic clip replayed all the time nationally. It meant something.

It did.
But as a kid who loved the Seahawks, Sherman hitting that ball last year ... that was fucking 10 times the magic to me.
And this year ... holy shit. After being on the receiving end of those chokes for so long!
If the M's had finished the journey yes, but it all came to a screeching halt. Thats the difference. The hawks, dawgs and supes took care of business. The hawks still in progress. If they lose bowl, it will suck the air out of the Packer disaster.
Thats why I hate the M's. Their owners, Gas, Thiel Groz and fans are still milking it. That was 20 fucking years ago. They didnt make the series. All the magic was dust. Worthless M's then, worthless today. Enough plugging that double to sell season tickets. Let it go
I'm not even going to discuss baseball on a thread where the 91 Dawgs, the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks and the World Champion Sonics are being discussed.
I'm just not.
And that game yesterday puts them all on the second shelf, IMO.
