But like the Miami case, you have to prove tortious interference, which you may or may not be able to do. These kids having "agents" makes it just as likely that one of them went out testing the waters. Completely believable to me that LSU got back to his agent after he signed with UW and the agent said, "Hold on now, Demond." Then you're in a game of proof on the timing, etc.
Going against the player requires the contract and proof of breach here is a cake walk. And discouraging players from doing this is, to me, at least as important as it is to nailing the schools for tampering. It's a market place with actors on both sides of the transaction.

This is different than the Wisconsin - Miami case because that was before the House Settlement / Revenue Sharing. Miami may also be making the case that the previous player was from Florida and wanted to come home while Arizona is closer to Seattle than to LSU.
And context does matter. The Wisconsin player was a CB who had completed his freshman year while Demond Williams was the starting QB and playing some his freshman year. The severity and intent of LSU doing this is much much bigger.
