Same folks who defended the recruiting approach defend going to court

If handled correctly, Jedd can earn some goodwill on this whole situation. At least from me.

Then what happened doog?

UW lost a coach to the best program in the sport
You've been struggling ever since.

I have?

The latest from yahoo:
- Williams signed a one-year rev-share agreement with UW worth about $4M.
- The agreement is a Big Ten template document used by all league members and built for situations like this.
- The agreement (1) prohibits a player from entering the portal once signed (this is why UW is refusing to enter his name into the portal) and (2) prohibits the player’s NIL rights to be used by any other school, though the player can sign outside marketing agreements.
- Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti, coincidentally in Seattle this week for a memorial service, is heavily involved in the matter, along with other Big Ten officials. The league is standing behind UW’s fervent approach to the contract.
- Washington officials are expected to communicate later today with Demond Williams’ representatives regarding the situation and next steps.
- With UW refusing to enter Williams’ name into the portal, he is not permitted to hold conversations with other programs.
- UW officials suspect that Williams has already held conversations with other programs and the school plans to submit any tampering evidence to the league and NCAA.
- LSU is believed to be the school most interested in Williams.
The same tired trope of doomers thinks UW should bend over and take it in the ass on this. As usual, they are wrong. LSU is fucked. UW can probably get a QB that performs better than Demond against real teams.
Win win for everyone but some retards here

UW has the moral and legal high ground here. Not suing LSU (and potentially other schools) would make UW a cuck:

We've been right about everything doog

Go look at how European soccer handles this…if there is a fallout you either get paid by the other team to take the player (transfer fee) or the player stays on the books but aren't allowed to participate with the team. The default should be to keep him here…don't put him in the portal because you have a signed contract saying he's signed to be here next year. Pay him his money but keep him completely separate from the team and the football facilities. If the contract doesn't specify it don't even provide him academic support…you are paying him a year to go to school. If LSU wants to pay you $5MM to buy out his contract great…otherwise he sits on the side away from the team for a year and can go enter the portal Jan 2027. He can call it his redshirt year. People will say players won't like it but they won't care if you win and if they get paid. Out of sight out of mind with Demond. You just better get a booster to put up a $$$ bag for a good QB (I like the idea of Longstreet), and you can tell them prove yourself and if you do well you will get what you are getting plus the $5MM that we are paying Demond the following year.
LSU will buy out his contract if forced to…Kiffin is desperate to prove his worth. You just have to have the balls to stand up to him. Also why bringing in Kai Horton last year was FS…that time should have gone to McMillan or the other guy. You'd have a better idea of what you had in them if they had gotten time.
And not sure what Fisch expected…he puts his name out there all the time for jobs and such…his favorites saw it and figured out they should do it too. He's in a corner now though…he either flees the situation by spring or he's basically stuck here for a couple years until he gets us back into the playoff. If he was smart he and the AD would announce an extension in the middle of all this (no additional $$$…just a show of commitment) and he gives some long speech about Demond having the opportunity of a lifetime in front of him but turning his back on it so we are proceeding on without him. We wish him the best when LSU pays us for him or when he enters the portal in Jan 2027.
