BREAKING NEWS - Demond Williams

He can, but then it gets real messy with LSU and anyone that contacted him and there is a decent chance he still has to sit out a year. As with most things if you are willing to call a bluff it puts you in a position of power…don't put him in the portal and plan on isolating him from the team for a year and he can go in Jan 2027. LSU will pay…hell, look at how much they are paying for people not in the program. An extra $4MM for a starting QB is a drop in the bucket.

The legal team is successful in keeping Demond. Now you have a starting QB who doesn’t want to be there, will be a cancer in the locker room, and you’re paying him. Do you win in that situation?
-
does demond have an agent with all this? is it an actual lawya or some buddy from back home? seems to be pretty dumb to sign a contract and then break it a few days later. regardless, he gone, wdwha.
-
I don't believe that happened. Maybe Fifita took a visit after Demond said he was leaving but certainly not before. UW already had 3 QBs on the roster with a 4th (Derrick Zamitt) signed for the 2026 class.
-
yeah one midget on the roster is more than enough
-
You're retarded. Demond will never play. This is about getting LSU to pay up and setting a precedent
-
So Fafita is backing out of his contract, too? He's not even in the portal, correct?
-
LSU will pay whatever it takes and won’t give a shit.
And the beat goes on.

Another important issue is that UW could put in the draft complaint is that LSU's actions caused damages because UW had already signed DW to a contract so they weren't looking for a replacement in the portal. If DW didn't sign the deal and told UW he was planning on entering the portal, UW would have had fair warning to find a suitable replacement in the portal starting on Jan 2nd, which is usual and customary.
Instead, he signed the deal on Jan 2nd and portal QBs were taking visits / signing elsewhere while UW thought they had their QB for at least 2026. Now UW is in limbo and has to scramble to fight LSU (and maybe Miami) while also going over much slimmer pickins' in the transfer portal. That screams damages to me.

I think it was fake news that he visited UW, unless he made some sort of public announcement but didn't actually sign the contract. But I think it is fake news.
