This. Suing likely won’t do anything for UW on the field next year, but they need to do it for the integrity of CFB, which is hanging by a thread. Doing nothing sets a bad precedent and keeps the ball rolling in the wrong direction. This shit has to stop, or it’s going to kill college football, which is already unrecognizable at this point.

Could also become known as the program that allows others to poach players without repercussion. That sounds like a recipe for success. We might as well drop down to the Big Sky if that's how it's going to go.

I say go after LSU / Kiffin hard and make an example of them. UW is not alone in this, the B1G drafted the contracts for the teams in the league and in a different legal situation, Miami (not SEC but still in the SE) screwed over Wisconsin.

While I think Demond is a massive idiot for doing this, the key is going after LSU. It's also possible that LSU / Kiffin lied to Demond and said this was perfectly legal. Maybe Demond didn't run it by his agent too and only his parents agreed since they want more money too.

In no way, shape, or form should UW & The B1G not go after LSU. As someone else mentioned, if this went into discovery, it would look horrible for LSU as they knew they were engaging in "tortuous interference".

This is a case for why Jedd's build from high school shit might be dated and completely unmanageable. It feels like we are rapidly moving to most teams just using anyone remotely below them as a farm system every year and almost completely redoing rosters every year, unless maybe you're an unlimited money program.

UW is screwed in that regard unless a guy has loyalty now or maybe if he's from the area or no one is willing to grossly overpay more than UW for him. I'm sure if Penix, Odunze, Fautanu, etc went out into the open market after 2022 and tried to get the absolutely most money they could some other program outbids UW for them.

I think other programs are capable of fighting a holy war and attempting to win big at the same time. The last 35 years of evidence tells me that UW isn’t one of those programs.
