This could be a result of the Iraq War...how many guys came back from that shit-show and became police officers?

This wasn't our fault. They knew they were going to Iraq years before they went. They took anyone that wanted in from 98-2002 and in 2005 after the president rented a flight suit and put "Mission Accomplished" on a carrier they wanted us the fuck gone.

I remember the first force shaping in the Air Force was slated for 250,000 people. The Air Force only has about 300k total right now. The Army and Marine cuts were much more severe. If you got in trouble you were gone or you could volunteer to just get out, or go into the Guard/Reserve. Almost all of us went into the Guard/Reserve but that wasn't paying any bills. A ton of us went to college on the Chapter 30 GI Bill, but that thing sucked balls.

You're four years removed from high school so everyone in your age bracket is either finishing or well ahead of you in college and you're at square zero with some experience no gives a fuck about because so did every other kid in that age group.

If you had no educational aspirations wildland fire, urban fire, or cop was pretty much your best options. Luckily I learned a very specific skill that is taught nowhere and used to land a cush government job as a civilian. The bullet sponges (the majority) didn't.

Now we have a boat load of guys that played police in Iraq coming to do it here. It is what it is.
Cush government job. Good Christ. The fact those exist is fucking bullshit.
Cush jobs exist in the private sector as well.

Do those also make you angry?

Oh I'm sorry, do you know how to work on missile and guided bomb systems? I didn't think so. The University of Phoenix isn't going to teach you how to maintain AIM-9L/M's, AIM-9X's, AIM-120, AGM-88, AGM-65, JDAM, Paveway's, GBU-54, and SDB's. When you have a very needed, yet very rare skill set you get to call the shots. The security clearance for that isn't extremely difficult but it's above the level of the average defense worker or military personnel.

    Anyone can sell toilets.

Not really since it's the business owner's choice to pay for it or not.

This is why the "government shutdown" of non essential employees was so awesome.

A lot of armchair law enforcers hiding behind computer screens here, If you ever get robbed you're going to want that cop to show up 4 hours later and tell you they don't give a shit.

You can't expect them to get there on time when they are tasering some drunk dude peeing on the side of a building. Priorities.

Ferguson is just a sell out Uncle Tom trying to make the real blacks look bad.

And using the Sterling Clause, shouldn't Ferguson be forced out of the league?

"FAMILiES of the victims pleaseeeeee stop asking #alsharpton to speak on ur behalf, you have a better chance having #caesar the monkey from #planetoftheapes to get justice for you..

"The stats also show AL coon sharpton has not helped one situation he has protested at, he actually made it worst and because of him the jury goes the other way..(think about it) Jena six, trayvon and the list goes back way back..

Sounds pretty racist IMO. Does Obama know about this?

    HTH.

Which is why I was exempt. Keep working, I'm slated for a 3% raise next year. Daddy needs to upgrade his already awesome Titleist blades.

    3%. Wow. High fucking roller.

Must suck to be dependent on someone to give you a raise.

I will give you an out and assume that was a whoosh attempt.
