Auburndawgs Preseason PAC-12 PowerRankings

1. Oregon. Until proven otherwise
2. UCLA. Lots of returning talent, and a proven QB
3. WASHINGTON. Tons of experienced talent returning, especially along the OL and defensive front 7, and a big coaching upgrade.
4. Stanford. Good QB, but lost some huge contributors on D and the OL.
5. USC. Talented, as always. But will likely lead the PAC in unforced errors.
6. Arizona. Yes, even without Kadeem Carey
7. ASU. Graduation devastation drops them into the second tier
8. Oregon State. Good QB. Great coach
9. Utah. Great coaching. No talent
10 WSU. Treading water. What happens after the pass-every-down pirate gets Halliday hurt again?
T12. Cal and Colorado

YES! You know the season is nearly upon us when AuburnDoog starts his rankings! Don't you take this shit to the DM boards now. They're unworthy of it.
Riley is not a "great coach" by any quantifiable measure. -

Also, USC belongs in the second tier, WSU is almost certainly better than Utah and maybe Oregon State, and of course

Vegas O/U for USC is 8.5 wins on a schedule where they don't have to play Oregon and get the usual maxi padding of Cal, Utah, Colorado, etc. You are a moron Kim. Hi Kim.

I'm hearing they are going to open the season 9-0.haie said:Vegas O/U for USC is 8.5 wins on a schedule where they don't have to play Oregon and get the usual maxi padding of Cal, Utah, Colorado, etc. You are a moron Kim. Hi Kim.

I think a good case could be made for flip flopping UCLA and UW.
-
UCLA is closer to Oregon than UW is to UCLA right now. UCLA has better overall talent and a same level head coach. Maybe unfair, but thanks to Sark's consistent level of mediocrity, UW needs to play a few games before we should automatically anoint them #2 in the PAC 12Vegasdawg said:I think a good case could be made for flip flopping UCLA and UW.

3 of the 4 best teams in the conference are in the North ...
The North will plunger the South in the Conference title game again ...
Water is wet. -
Way too early to tell where any team is right now, but if last season's game against UCLA is any indication, the talent level on the field between UW and UCLA is pretty close. As for the coaching edge, also hard to tell. Peterson is the more proven college coach, but Mora seems to have found his calling and may end up being the better coach. We'll see. I like them both, IMHO, they're both among the best coaches in the conference, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them duking it out for conference titles in the not too distant future.greenblood said:

If Helfrich is still at Oregon, that will be next year.Southerndawg said:

I always knew the season would be over, I just didn't think it would happen so soon.
And Cal is still too goddamn high. -
