Murphy has been filling the gap pretty well I guess. I kind of forgot about him, which is dumb since he's a good producer for my fantasy team. I think he can be back as early as this weekend.dnc said:
Pollock bombing definitely left a hole for a lefty masher. Especially since Cal is so good against righties but pretty meh against southpaws.chuck said:
Feel the same. I wish they had another righty outfielder or at least DH type. Even in this route tonight it struck me how few options they have from the right side. I guess Julio sitting contributed to that a bit too.dnc said:
Not a big Ford fan, I think they have enough lefties off the bench. But Haggerty isn't especially essential with Moore, Rojas and Caballero around either. I'd prefer Haggerty but I don't really hate it. I do wish Ford was starting less. I'd rather see Canzone and Marlowe get the ABs.chuck said:On another note, what do all two of you who care think of them sending Swaggerty down and keeping Ford?

They won again.

Where’s Julio? Second day in a row not in the lineup

Yeah Murphy has been locked in for a couple of months. Wild they've done a lot of this damage since he went down. I hope he comes back quickly.chuck said:

One thing the Ms seem to do really well down the stretch, almost ridiculously well, is cycle through a murderers row of pitchers who's careers are going nowhere, and get solid innings out of them. Watch that failed starter they just signed, Weaver I think, find something that works and really help them.

They seem to be able to find something from their pitchers overlooked by other teams. Neither Woo or Miller were very good in college. Woo was especially bad. Every year they seem to have a couple relievers step up that were not any good for their previous teams.chuck said:One thing the Ms seem to do really well down the stretch, almost ridiculously well, is cycle through a murderers row of pitchers who's careers are going nowhere, and get solid innings out of them. Looks like Weaver gave two dominant innings today already.
Munoz couldn't close it...again. over reliance on him, and Brash too, is going to cost them in some big spots. -
Nothing like not playing and both losers losing.
