Attendance would have dwindled in the pac12. Getting usc oregon and sometimes Penn state Wisconsin mich or tosu coming out is a big deal. Those team travel even if we don't fill the stadium ourselves.Kaepsknee said:
Fuck off! No one is getting more excited about Illinois and Northwestern coming to town. This move only saves you from being banished to the depths of G5. There is no extra sauce involved.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
Give fans a reason to go with consistent success and they will be there.BleachedAnusDawg said:
I actually don't think it's true that UW fans will sell out HS any more. The stadium will be 1/3 visiting fans every home game.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
Ticket sales are going to be through the roof because the spares will be eaten up y midwesternersAtomicDawg said:
Our ticket sales suck for football and basketball. We are still paying Jimmy LAke and stadium debt. It's hard.dirtysouwfdawg said:
I get the jump coming in ‘26 but can someone give me the cliff notes of how an athletic program spends so much fucking money and despite more TV rev than ever, they still operate at a deficit? With the fucking ridiculous cost of tuition do those streams not bleed together? Edjumakate me.GrundleStiltzkin said:
Packing the stadium for a year or two makes a big difference though.
Win and the fans will come

Kliakoff is probably on vacation. As He was when we had to cut it short when UCLA and USC announced their departureLesGrossman said: -

I’m not sold on this bump on ticket sales. The team is changing conference, not local demos.

The Midwest teams travel. Not all of them, but the big programs do.GrundleStiltzkin said:I’m not sold on this bump on ticket sales. The team is changing conference, not local demos.

Yup.. especially once it's 15 degrees in their home markets (as a high).AtomicDawg said:

Travelers would tOSU, the Michigans, Penn State, Wisky, maybe Iowa. How many will Washington get at home a year? Two? One more likely.AtomicDawg said:

I'm guessing Minnesota the first year, given that we haven't seen them in forever
