20 and 21 were bumper crops and we were canceling a season and hiring Jimmy
Those two years hurt -
Still, Pete giving Tracy Ford the high hat was the right move
-
Wow. I didn’t realize how shitty this year’s in state class was
-
Great list, thank you. WA State has seven recruits rated as 4-stars in the 2024 class and UW needs to get at least 3 or 4 of them.
-
I think they have a decent chance at Brown/McDonald from O’Dea. Brown will be a battle with some top programs I’m sure.HFNY said:Great list, thank you. WA State has seven recruits rated as 4-stars in the 2024 class and UW needs to get at least 3 or 4 of them.
Learned in the pipelines thread that Federal Way has sent 3 kids recently, hopefully that helps with Rayshawn Clark.
I haven’t seen Platt from Yelm play, but he’s highly ranked and has a good physical profile according to 247. Any word if he’s interested at all?
Ahfua seems gone but just haven’t heard anything on him in awhile. -
Platt was all Oregon this year.

Hope we keep in ear of the TE from Bellevue who committed to Michigan. Full court press on Brown. Probably 10-15 in-state guys that we would take this cycle.

I hope not. Washington high school football is underwhelming.Penace said:Hope we keep in ear of the TE from Bellevue who committed to Michigan. Full court press on Brown. Probably 10-15 in-state guys that we would take this cycle.

5 stars also has a bad hit rate since 2017. Obviously this is why you stack talent but the this isn’t good. 1 out of 6 thus far looks the part. Some of those still have a chance. I maintain 247 overrated wa prospects and specifically Seattle metro area kids.

Saw Platt play in Vancouver this year. He was dominating and clearly better than anyone on the field. RB or LB it didn’t matter.

"theirs no questions your a power 5 player!" -
Class of 2024:
Jason Brown, RB, O'DEA, 5'10" 200 lbs, 20 offers already
Isendre Ahfua, OG, O'DEA, 6'5" 330 lbs, 20 offers already
Hogan Hansen, TE, BELLEVUE, 6'6" 220 lbs, 16 offers already (committed to Michigan but Harbaugh is likely NFL bound)
Brayden Platt, LB, YELM, 6'2" 240(!!) lbs, 10 offers already
Marquawn McCraney, S, HIGHLINE, 6'1" 180 lbs, 7 offers already
Rahshawn Clark, WR, FEDERAL WAY, 6'0" 180 lbs, 12 offers already
Fox Crader, OT, EVERGREEN, 6'6" 275 lbs, 10 offers already (committed to Oregon)
Kyan McDonald, S, O'DEA, 6'0" 175 lbs, 8 offers already
EJ Caminong, QB, GARFIELD, 6'2" 195 lbs, 4 offers already (committed to Washington)
Malachi Durant, WR, PUYALLUP, 6'2" 160 lbs, 8 offers already
Not as top heavy as '21, but 10 guys with multiple power 5 offers before their senior season is pretty good. I'd like to see DeBoer keep at least 5-6 of them home. -
Get Jason Brown no excuses. He's the one I'll be mad if we don't get. If we can get an equivalent Hogan Hansen from California that's fine.GayThoughts said:Class of 2024:

I think he also tweeted Go Green the week before the Michigan State game. How'd that go? Seems like a weirdo.
Someone needs to convince Hansen Harbaugh will leave and the track record of TEs from Washington who go to UW and the NFL is unrivaled.
Crader looks like he wants to fall in line with Devon Allen and Terrance Ferguson and be the lamest looking white guy at Oregon.
It already seems like Brown is the only big one they'll get and the rest will have to be framed as WDWA already. -
Awfully warm around here for December. LIPO on these local guys.

Vancouver people too often feel like Oregon state citizens lite. Everytime I travel through there's a bunch of people wearing Oregon or Cougar gear.

Agree. I was hoping the temperature would be better based on this season. As good as Michigan is doing now I feel like someone has to get Hansen to come to the light.GayThoughts said:

The Ahfua thing is weird. Seems like he has some complete dismissal of UW. -
Agreed on Ahfua, almost feels like an Eastside Catholic kid. Saw this mentioned a few months back, the UW NIL collective really needs to get Jermaine Kearse or some other alum to start their own underwear Olympics program to run Tracy Ford out of town.

Seems the Courtney Morgan check cashed cause Tracy has been showing lots of love or UW ever since DeBoer showed up. Whatever works. Like, I get the principle of it. But give me a break. You leave your principles at the door once you get paid millions of dollars to stalk teen boys.
