Sober Sark?

The gaffe shit is unacceptable now. You need one stats grad student to go through each play for the dumbass football department and teach them when to do shit. Once you accept that with rare exception, college football coaches are fucking stupid and massively overpaid, it makes too much sense to exploit more students (in this case grad students instead of undergrads) to improve decision making.

Sober Sark = ass defense with high effort paired with an effective pass happy offense controlled by the HC
-
Fuck you guys. Sark has a hotter wife
-
Yeah but it’s much better to have a coach whose wife is a muskrat. Less temptation = more time sleeping on the office couch, getting fatter and coaching football.FireCohen said:Fuck you guys. Sark has a hotter wife
Everybody says so. -
We are well on our way to a 10-2 record and a big win vs a highly ranked team in a NY6 game on New Years.. the big issue is that everyone is going to lament the loss vs ASU that kept us out of the title series game consideration.Tequilla said:The Sark reference is more towards bad in-game management
KDB had some brutal gaffes tonight in strategy that he got bailed out on
The 7-2 record is full blown paper tiger -
I was drunk high and tired but I don't recall these gaffes
I saw a defense that appears to really suck get stops when they had to
I saw Penix overcome his now well documented pick 6 problem to hit some big third down throws and lead a 92 yard clock killing winning drive
For all the many flaws DeBoer has the squad winning games instead of losing
Plenty of time for despair after the annual loss to Oregon -
Football is hard. Especially when you don't have studs in every unit. He's got 2 stud players on this team, frankly - Penix and Odunze. On offense, we have JAGs honestly running the ball. The rest of the receivers are fairly average. OL and TEs are decent but no real studs. No standouts on D-line, LB, or the secondary. 1 or 2 guys on this team play in the NFL. That's it. It's a testament to the coaching that we're where we're at frankly.Tequilla said:The Sark reference is more towards bad in-game management

That 7-2 record with this team could have easily been 5-4, or could have easily been 8-1. 9-0 would be a stretch. Take a walk and get some perspective.
Deboer needs to portal this bitch hard (likely + possible), suddenly senior some dudes, and bring in immediate impact players in this class. (unlikely)
I like what I'm seeing. -
DeBoer isn't Sark.
Grubb is Sark. Devil horns as you're blasting the worst defense in football, only to put up 28 against Cal and 24 against Beavlet. -
Good post though I think McMillan, Kirkland, and Culp have a shot at the NFL. Troy F. could be a back-up swing guy (LG / OT). McMillan will be the #1 WR next year and if he can get past his drops, he definitely could get drafted.DoogieMcDoogerson said:

On D, Tuli L. has a shot if he returns next year and Trice should get drafted if he takes the next step in 2023.
Regarding the portal, Auburn has multiple 4-star recruits already transferring out. -
I concur, possibly because I was drunk, high, and tired as well. I see things that I haven't in quite a while...specifically, adjustments being made in real time, not waiting until we are down 2-3 scores at the half (coulda-shoulda been last night), only to come out, come back, and lose a close game, "Just good enough to get beat"... That's a big deal for me.RaceBannon said:I was drunk high and tired but I don't recall these gaffes

Also, the sense of calm on the final drive from the players. Maybe it was the weed talking, but I felt that we would finish the drive off, and I haven't felt that way in a long time. "We" have lost a lot of these games over the years...
