Re: Top draft classes since 2012
It's been PROVEN REPEATEDLY and WITHOUT DOUBT that deBore had nearly zero interest in coaching UW in 2024 from the 2023 mid-season forward. Not a hypothetical. He knew he was likely going to 'Bama when we all heard that Saban was likely (90%+) to retire after the 2023 season.
His being unaware of Saban's status (likelihood to retire) months before the NC game was just not possible particularly once they shared the same agent.
I understand that there are some dementia riddled simpletons repeatedly claiming otherwise but he was simply NEVER going to stay at UW long-term.
Furthermore, his documented disdain for the work involved in recruiting (or ineffectiveness doing same), coupled with UW's need for a regime that actually recruits successfully, made a significantly longer stay at UW virtually impossible.
You are correct (and it isn't just a theory). deBore's mail it in approach for the NC game is only rivaled by June Jones' similar transgression preceding the 2008 Sugar Bowl.

Williams carrying the hopes and dreams of an entire NFL franchise
What could go wrong?

Re: India v Pakistan Curry cookoff official thred
India could win the war just by spamming them with tech support scam calls.

A couple announcements for the bored
Early next week, Hardcore Husky will be upgrading to the new format. I'm just giving you people a head's up.
We will be podding on Sunday morning. We will discuss the UW spring game and take a Bill Belichick temperature check. Also, @Joey has insisted on being given "at least 20-30 minutes" to give his reasoning why Cyndi Lauper deserves entry into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
You're not going to want to miss this!

This won’t cut into my Gilmore Girls will it?

Re: Imagine being a WA kid and thinking "Nah I wanna just go take a bag in Eugene" after watching this
I think kids now and parents are so fucked out I question how much these things make a difference but it at least needs to be highlighted like this, good that they are trying and this is well done. As I get older I also feel the extra importance of why it would make sense to stay home unless it's like Willingham coaching. Your connection to some random college town somewhere else you're at for 3-4 years is really going to fade and won't it be nice when you end up in the area that on 6-7 Saturdays you can go to the biggest stadium in the region and feel at home?
Especially with the Seahawks regressing into mediocrity it really feels like UW football has gotten back a bigger piece of the pie in city/state's culture.

It’s going to be special when LIV becomes Cuog’s version of truck racing.
