It sucks and is crazy Polk is questionable to even make the Patriots roster in his second season. I think it's possible having Penix throwing him the ball so well he didn't even have to get open and then having Odunze and McMillan distract defenses led to him being overrated, but didn't think it could be that bad. I do wonder if there is some mental stuff here as he got the yips in 2023 bad at one point and in general tended to have huge games and then games where he disappeared.

That's a lot of respect for Peterlips. Some of the only respect I've ever seen in stuff like this for DeBoer.

UW needs to show they can win on this high of a level without Persi'sman. He still deserves a lot of the credit for 2022-23.

What I really like about the type of defense that Walters runs is that its multiple and effectively leverages assets to the opposition.

I can easily see Thompson playing more to the outside in various 4 and 5 man fronts against heavy run teams to have a front that does a good job of holding the LOS (think in games against Michigan/Illinois) but then moving more towards the inside on passing down situations trying to leverage his athletic ability against guards to get wins in the backfield.

Just the fact that the DC is going to have options available on the DL is such a massive upgrade versus last year and that's before even thinking about whether the talent is better (which it is)
