Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
I think we lose. Oregon is better this year. We have a lot of young guys that play and are good. The recruiting is good. The better we are, the easier it is to get guys in the portal. I bet it’s easier to sell a good player on next year’s team than in 2024. We won’t get worse.
You don’t always gotta keep the same script. Get some new writers in the room buddy. Fire Damone. He did this with DeBoer.

Fisch:
“There might be a few surprises on signing day and I’m excited”
I heard there were 2 pretty high rated SoCal kids (Committed) in the Rose Bowl Saturday night, on the UW sideline. One was Finney (LSU)
Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
It's true and I shit on the SEC scheduling stuff before the conference bloat but now I just see it as two wrongs. I also think it will be like the teams on the bubble like the basketball tournament will frequently be teams that don't really deserve much anyway.

Re: Pounding Cupcakes
Ultimately I think some form of championship and playoff was right for college football I guess, but the beauty of this thread is an underrated BI-product of the weird ass way college football was organized in it's prime. 35 years later we have two happy fanbases arguing about who was better and it will last until we all die of the AIDs this site and microplastics give us.
The inverse of this is 84 were Dwag fans probably should have another true national title but were robbed by the old system (probably).

Re: Pounding Cupcakes
Listen, I say this as a die-hard Canes fan whose team would likely have one and even maybe two more natties under the current system ('88 and '90): the old system was awesome for the reasons given by Yella and you just now. It made it interesting and fun and it made you feel like you had equity in something local or regional to you.

He did
Fisch didn't and hasn't
And won't
Next year you all will be talking about the year after
Water is wet
Oregon about to snap some of you back to reality hard

Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
I’m just sick of the SEC propaganda that Missouri, Tennessee, and LSU are “good teams!” And “ranked wins!”. This tier isn’t any better than Iowa/illinois/NW, yet they rig the system by making them ranked at 7-4 or 8-3 so they can shout about how no one in the big ten has comparable ranked wins.
Washington is smashing Missouri on a neutral field, yet Missouri was ranked last week while Washington wasn’t.
I’ll back up any coach who calls out the SEC’s BS.
