State history museum Tacoma is glorious.
You can go multiple ways on this…
Two early 8 PM games when the weather is nicer isn’t that bad and a lot better than an 8 PM kickoff in November. But also if you spent most of the day at the lake or the beach, it would be hard to get the enthusiasm to pack up and go to a football game.
For the party crowd adults 8 PM kick offs are probably great, but if you’re trying to get a young fan base like say under the ages of 13 parents aren’t going to want to take their kids to these games
But also, if your kids are playing sports, maybe these late kickoffs are the only way to take your kid to a game. I’m always torn on these kind of is what it is at this point. As long as it’s not every game like it was a few years ago
I almost went full @Tequilla
My thoughts on the units specifically (because you asked)
QB = A - I don't think Demond is a A-level QB yet but the position is as strong as we could realistic expect this year. Star potential young starter. Veteran backup. Two true freshmen in the mix in the mode of LIPO what they are.
RB = A - Coleman is one of the best returning RBs in America. Mohammed looks great at #2 and Washington is an interesting potential speed wrinkle.
WR = C+ - Not sure if Boston is a great WR or just a good one. Everything else is a complete question mark.
TE = C+ - Getting Moore back is nice if nothing else but for run blocking. Will have to see if DeGraaf progresses more and Eldridge right now feels like a JAG blocking type.
OT = C- - Willis keeps this from being a D. I've seen almost nothing from the other guys at the position that isn't an F or D at best.
IOL = D - L. Hatchett at center and the potential of Paki Finau are what keeps this from being an F. G. Hatchett could push into C territory if improved from 2023.
DE = C - Durfee is an Incomplete. If Ward progresses could be a nice pass rusher and if healthy Davis II has big intrigue as a pure pass rusher. Lot of questions.
DT = C - There's enough bodies here I'd be surprised if this unit isn't adequate.
LB = B- Coug LB seems like a really underrated portal pickup. Manu too, if healthy. Bryant at the very least testing the UCF LB's spot tells me this group is at least solid.
CB = B - Big potential hear if Davis can find 2023 form. If…Also if Prysock can improve. Quietly this is a really thin position. Only three guys with any experience at all.
S = C- - This has quietly become our biggest question spot on defense. Esteen feels like JAG at best. The two transfers fit the profile of guys who haven't done much at UW. Clark is super interesting as a guy from Garfield who likes to hit.
These being the two-best chances for good weather games also sucks. Yeah it's nice that it will probably be warmer for later night games but you only get so many chances for sunny and warm in Husky Stadium.
PM to @WoolleyDoog or @Joey
I think one of you called this inevitable shit in one of the last pods
"The big factor here was Moa hearing the staff’s pitch. They want him to play on both sides of the ball. He had conversations with Cummings, Mays and J-Rich."
The Trade Expansion Act of 1962 gave the President authority to adjust tariffs, including to impose tariffs on imports, under certain circumstances. Specifically, Section 232 of the act allows the President to impose import restrictions if imports are found to be a threat to national security, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce and other sources. This authority has been used in the past to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
Isn't this congress ding dong?
Barbie made money because of the property and then marketing and hyping that you had to see it as a woman or something. Honestly the first like hour of it was painfully boring and like a one note skit that should have been 2 minutes max then it had a bunch of hypocritical bs including the evil all male Mattel board when that's not reality at all. Then the best part was the most popular and only entertaining and funny parts and characters of it were Gosling and men.
I don't know if this was serious or not but I don't think Lanning would leave Oregon for Oklahoma unless he's burnt out on Uncle Phil as a boss or Oregon/Phil think he's good but doesn't think he can win a natty and would kind of encourage him to go because it's now or never.
