Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
Portage Bay Garage on Pacific and University remains my favorite parking spot for UW games.
Pre-COVID when Argosy still had a boat running from Ivars Salmon House was great cheapskate parking. The lot across from the restaurant was reserved for Argosy passengers but the attendant had no way to verify passengers vs cheapskates.
Re: Tariffs….
Trade with the chicoms isn't free trade. They steal trillions in intellectual property and prior to Trump we did shit. The Euros regulate American businesses from competing. Again, not free trade. We were the world's open market and the world wasn't. Toss in the environmental devastation of the chicoms. Strip mining the fish in the ocean. Mercury from their unregulated coal plant emission spread around the world. And if you actually were concerned about CO2 you just closed your eyes to the amount the chicoms and Indians were pumping out because as long as it wasn't US CO2 it was different. Congrats on you America Last economic program. The term "free trade" has to mean something. You use it as a talisman and think that wins the argument. Such a stupid lazy soft mind.

Re: We need a general tweet of the day thread
Such fag, Bob.
Feel free to cite the Constitutional actions that enumerate the “values” of the state.

Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
Could say the same for the roads after games, too. 45th is a mess, Montlake Blvd is backed up to the E1. And getting out of any of the parking lots on campus is hell, too
UW AD should really bring back the 5th Quarter to get people to stay after and hang out to help ease some of the traffic and congestion
Re: Saturday's Scrimmage - Teq's Thoughts
Reading that made my pants tight in the crotch. I love a powerful running game. The 2000 sqwad and the 2016 combo of Gaskin and L. Coleman stand out in my mind in the last 25 years. Honorable mention would be Chis Polk’s senior year there just wasn’t anyone on the roster but him. He trucked good teams and bad teams. If J. Coleman and Mohammed can control the game on the ground Williams should be almost unstoppable. I’m here for it.

Re: All This Winning…..For Dominion
Settling happens all the time for a variety of reasons regardless of the underlying facts. To pretend that isn’t true is level 6 stuff.

Re: Saturday's Scrimmage - Teq's Thoughts
Not speaking just on Demond when I say this, but there were a number of throws on Saturday that were well placed and broken up by well positioned defenders. I don't consider that to be something where I put a ton on the QB.
For example, there was a throw that Demond made down the seam that was a well placed back shoulder throw against fantastic cover. There really wasn't anybody open on the play and it was a throw where he gave his WR a chance to make a play. Sometimes that is the best play available. The WR on the play wasn't what I'd call a front line option right now … it wasn't a Boston or Rome or Jalen or whatever type of future NFL WR.
The other thing with Demond that people need to keep in mind is that he's still a young QB and will continue to grow practice by practice and game by game.
