No that's true too. I got a buddy who teaches writing in college and bemoans when foreign students enroll in his classes. He's had to change many a grade based on pressure from Administration.
Got another buddy who absolutely struggled with Math, so he went to community College and worked on it and worked on it. It took a physics class for the light bulb to turn on, and then Math became a breeze. Ended up in engineering grad school a few years later. Wild /funny part is his brother was a physics professor.

So was college football better when we had 1 home and 1 away uni made by Russel Athletic and the kids didn't get paid (except for the occasional $50K loan) or the current version with 8+ uni combos and 3 star fucking JAGS getting paid 3 to 4x what Billy Joe made?

Cars had soul. Cars had style. There was a pecking order of coolness embodied in one’s vehicle.
Now we have endless rows of gray, white and black Toyota/Hyundai/Kia/Nissan SUVs that are indistinguishable from one another. Couldn’t tell you the difference between a 2015 model and a 2025 model of any make these days
