Re: Hardcore Husky Podcast: When your head coach is the team's weakest link
UW got better this year. Fact. It's not good enough. Fact. I also, reluctantly, disagree with the "in this day and age all you need is x years" argument, with respect to Race. There are nuances here that can never be appropriately qualified, such as injuries, scheduling, barometric pressure, etc. 8-4 next year is not reason to fire him. The big issue is that he's tied himself to an OC who doesn't call plays, so if Judd would give up those doodies he'd be handing them to a first time nobody. So he has to fire himself and his OC. I think I've talked myself back around into: you're fucked.

Re: Lane Kiffin's disastrous exit from Ole Miss spells a much deeper problem in college football
The only way to save college football is to make it more like the NFL.
I didn't want it this way, but it's the hand we've been dealt.
Imagine a Jerry Jones poaching Kyle Shanahan before the playoffs even start. I know this is @RaceBannon 's wet dream but it's not good for the game.

He'll say that Fish needs to be fired if he doesn't do x, y, and z next year. Then next year, there will be new excuses and meaningless ultimatums.

Watch the NFL playoffs. Still a good product when it gets to that point.
Don't need to continue ruining college football simply to fill time on the calendar.

Re: 8-4
Much easier schedule?
Both teams played Illinois, Michigan and Oregon. We got tOSU, they got the Irish and they played Iowa.
At best it’s the roughly the same . What’s different is they went 9-3.
