My thoughts exactly when I saw that picture. At the same time, I can't blame them for not airlining it. With summer travel in full swing - full flights, overtasked ATC, short-staffed airlines, airports at max capacity, and thunderstorms etc. Doesn't take much to have flights delayed or cancelled.
Plus, I can't blame them for wanting to skip the airport terminal experience: once-a-year clueless Crocs-wearing schlub travelers.

I’m okay with him holding interest rates for the record. The rates aren’t what is keeping bond rates high, which is the spending.
