Re: Canada learns nothing........News at 11.
Remind me….did Trump run a surplus in his first term? Then STFU, you’re not fiscally responsible either.
I believe the last one to accomplish that feat was Clinton in the 90s.

Re: Trump orders Alcatraz prison to be reopened and expanded to house the 'dregs of society'
Ain't going to happen and I don't think he's being serious, but nothing says reducing government waste like blowing $300 million+ to re-open a building that's been closed and run down for over 60 years.

Re: About that “Maryland Man”
Screeching from the party that actively violated American civil liberties at every turn the last 4 years.
@AOG Standing on "principles" is hilarious. Where was he not 6 months ago for American citizens rotting in solitary for 4 years with no trial.
It's partisan warfare and they're upset people don't buy it as anything but anymore.

LMAO you’re right. Asking you to explain your statement and you coming up with zero backup to your statement really showed me.

What part am I supposed to disagree with? I never pardoned a gang of violent felons who attacked the police or our democratic process, btw. And I have no felony convictions, unlike some.

I didn’t. But it is true that he became a symbol for many who believe committing a petty crime shouldn’t get you murdered by the police. I believe that too. You?

Re: The Atlantic: Hitler used tariffs to "liberate" Germany
Hitler ordered 145% tariffs on Chinese goods, fooling the Germans into thinking China was paying, but it was a tax on the middle class.

Simply sycophants
The incoherence of the so-called "conservative philosophers" of the Tug is well illustrated by the fact that the actual philosophers of the conservative movement abhor their emperor and love interest. A report on the recent Cato Institute gathering:
“We will always oppose when a policy is moving in a direction that contradicts these principles,” Goettler said. “When the President disappears people without due process, or enacts extra-legal tariffs that threaten business and prosperity around the world, or targets individual law firms for retribution and calls into great danger to the rule of law, we’ll stick to our principles, speak out, push back, and oppose it.”
The free-market fanboys and libertarian aficionados have spent almost a half century decrying the exact meddling that Trump is now engaging in. A hands-off-the-market approach has been sacrosanct for these wonks. Lost on no one was the fact that Koch was in town—a rare visit, really—to accept the 2025 Milton Friedman Prize for Advancing Liberty, named in honor of the economist who was pretty strident in his opposition to tariffs.

This guy is so brainwashed/stupid that he can’t process factual information that blows up his opinion.
