It's a little surprising, though it shouldn't be, that you didn't know many relief organizations have a religious affiliation.

And I've bashed many alleged "Christians". Christianity itself? No. I don't believe in the supernatural myself, but most of the world does and I long ago accepted that. If more Christians actually knew anything about their professed religion and they actually adhered to its tenets instead of the rantings of teevee preachers, that would almost certainly be a better thing. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about whether people who are actually remedying poverty, disease, or disaster are motivated to do those things by beliefs about God and Jesus that I don't hold.

Trump sold our country to a hostile foreign actor who is currently mining our treasury. If there were a legitimate left opposition, citizens united wouldn’t have allowed this dark money takeover. We wouldn’t have gone to (clearly bullshit propaganda campaign) Iraq. We wouldn’t have turned the housing market over to speculators. But we did. So where was the left?

The idea of “the left” is a paper tiger because it clearly posed no threat to these big-money projects.
