Seems a bit hyperbolic. Dollar is the world's reserve currency and it used as a stable tool for currency stability. Bureau of Labor statistics only goes back to 1913 instead of the 1910 founding of the Federal Reserve. FDR banned US citizens from owning gold in 1933 because that is what authoritarian dems do. You give the dems control of the federal government and gold will not be the only thing they want to ban.
