Re: Glad I no longer care about UW football
the crowd sucked today . I got club seats for $75. It actually didn’t rain that much anyway. Illinois sucks. lol
didn’t see any grandmas to push down the stairs. I need practice for the Oregon game. I’ll find a way. We mostly talked mariners on the boat ride back to lake Union. After 40 years of existence in this state, I was still retarded enough to think this was the year for the M’s. I never got vaxxed and I’m thinking long COVID is eating my brain.

Germie Warfare and PLAYOFFS??!!
In memory of @pawz
Alert readers may recall a comment about making the three footers to succeed in the B1G. Washington has become Tiger Woods over the 3 footer this season. Don't bring a weak shit defense into Husky Stadium and expect to walk out with a win. When they aren't physically over matched this offense is legit and the stars are the real deal. Boston is a tough guy. Coleman turned up field for extra tough yards. Williams is unstoppable in air.
All of which makes losing to Michigan even more disturbing. To be generous they are more of a 6 footer but still needs to be made over 81% of the time. Even with a now possible BONEM event at the end of the season the Wolverines may keep UW out of the playoffs. PLAYOFFS!!??
I was telling the TV to shut the fuck up about playoff talk with UW and Illinois going at it. By the end of the game I was oddly impressed with the showing of the squad under the steel gray sky of venerable Husky Stadium. The Illinois QB was the best faced since Sayin. Bringing us back again to letting Blair Underwood beat us. He was unimpressive again last night against Sparty but if Michigan keeps the voodoo hex against tOSU and wins out they are in and UW is out.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. After BYE the Dawgs travel to the mad house at Madison for a 3-2 loss to Wisconsin and the annual debacle against UCLA looms as well before we see if Fisch has what it takes to beat Oregon, make the playoffs and get blown out in the first round.
Meanwhile in a predictable let down spot after 4 wins in a row against the greatest teams in the history of the SEC, the Bama Crimson Tide stumbled their way to a late win over the Cocks. The full DeBoer experience. My Heisman pick Germie Bernard was once again the hero of the game.
Texas A&M may be legit this year. LSU is not. Vandy rolls on.
UW needs some B1G mid teams to start losing to thin the two loss crowd in the event of UW finishing 10-2. The B1G needs some respect. Was it just a week ago when UCLA strode across college football like a colossus? Indiana is the real thing and the Buckeyes have the best defense in the land. In a Final Four I'd take the B1G over the SEC
tOSU and Indiana look better than Bama and A&M. This week
Give Fisch credit - 8 games in and we're still playing for it all. Just win baby is all we ever ask here.

Re: OFFICIAL Washington vs. Illinois Game Thread
Criminally underchinned. Gifted writing. I was hooked three words in, making me think, "Isn't the game here? Let me read on."
I laffed.
Re: Husky Jacks open thread [2025]
Read what you just typed…Softy.
When Fish met his wife he lived in Houston and she lived in Dallas…pay me $7 million a year and I’ll live in Saudi and fly back to see my family.
I’m under no illusion about him leaving…just no way he’s dumb enough to leave for UCLA. They’ll get a coordinator or a Group of 5 head coach. If it’s something else it will be a retreat desperately trying to revive his career…James Franklin or Jimbo Fisher type. Gonna be a crazy offseason though. Half expecting the Texas job to open up.
Fish strikes me as a really good CEO coach and an eh actual coach. Hasn’t beaten anyone he shouldn’t have, but he’s slowly building up the roster in a very good way. In comparison to DeBoer who is a generational actual coach but a below average CEO. Moving to Alabama was smart for him. Generational coaches are really good at both, but not many of them around.
Funny thing is the NFL has GMs and all that which build the roster…Fish moving up to the NFL will likely expose him as an average coach. Have to be careful what you wish for.

When I wrote the obit for @DeLarry in 2020, I posted a photo of him. Before I could blink, I received a PM from Damone saying if he ever died to not show his photo.
