Re: Update on Vines-Bright
It must feel kinda icky knowing every player on the team including the coaches want to hit your mom.
Re: Update on Vines-Bright
UW Medical is a legit advantage that even John Ross has talked about after going to the NFL.
Texas Tech has an oil billionaire but also just a shed for the same injury.

Re: The Fisching Report Recruiting Thread Sponsored by The Fisch Bowl
They're doing a good job of recruiting and getting some flip candidates like this is solid. Easily the best the program has recruited since 2019.
I know there was an Ivy League local OL I think last year they considered bringing in as a grad transfer but ultimately passed I think. I think the jump from Ivy to power football is tough.

Re: Playoffs
Nah, you're way off. If the loss is to USC, Oregon is in deep shit. The national media is already lobbying for Texas if they beat aTm. Ole Miss jumped Oregon in the AP after they beat The Citadel and Oregon beat Iowa. Think about that. On the road, in November, in a storm, win over a (then) ranked opponent and they get jumped by a team that beat FCS opponent?
And now the only quality win Ole Miss has, OU, just beat Alabama. The SEC media machine is firing on all cylinders right now.
I know the AP doesn't matter anymore, but Oregon got jumped after TT(?) had a fucking BYE and Oregon won earlier this year. Again, think about that. I think we're at 3? times this year Oregon has won and dropped rank.

Barring upsets, those are locks. Oregon/USC is a pseudo playoff game. If USC and Oregon are 10-2, Oregon is out, USC is in. Oregon's best win will be Iowa? UW? USC's best win will be Oregon.
Some of what I just said is wrong, I'm firing from the hip a little, but you get it.

Re: Charlie Brown Christmas Dance
The Throbber goes back and forth on whether the ways of the world was better back then. We received our information in small carefully curated doses on the evening news and the daily newspaper. Ignorance was bliss.
I do believe the quality of elected officials was higher then. Now only sociopaths and narcissists can withstand the barrage of social media outings and criticism. The government still did shitty awful things but the outrage level was a lot lower.
Maybe after the next reset, simpler times return.
