Re: Jon Gruden to UCLA?
I was at that WSU at UCLA in 2023 and talking with UCLA's few fans that their only hope was probably someone like Coach Prime or Gruden who could bring in entertainment and attention, but even those aren't long term solutions are even guys who could win 10+ games. They would have to find someone like Harbaugh for Stanford, who is coming up and can fit your weird academis and kind of soft second banana shit. No clue if that person even exists anymore.

Washington is beating Ohio State
Sayin is making his first ever road start to the loudest environment in college football, where UW has won 22 in a row.
The UW offense is legitimately great. Too many threats to contain. Demond will have to be a bit more cautious and throw the ball away instead of playing superman and taking sacks. But they will get it done.
Ohio State is going to struggle to adjust to the crowd noise and will struggle to move the ball. I think UW blitzes far more than the conservative 4 man rush MO they did the first 3 weeks.
On the flip side, UW probably loses at Maryland.

A Fun Little Story Slick Rick Dropped After the Game
Apologies if someone already posted about this, but could be a little extra content for Derek's next great Husky novel…
In CBS' post-game coverage, Neuheisel was talking about celebrations after Apple Cup victories.
He brought up a story where a bunch of boosters and Upper Campus types were at his house after an Apple Cup win. He said he'd been pushing for a $2 million renovation/facility without much luck.
People start jumping in the lake to celebrate the win, and Dempsey says to Barbara Hedges "If you jump in the lake I'll give you the $2 million for the new facility."
She refused to do it, on account of her hair getting messed up. A fitting story for the disaster that was the Hedges/Turner eras of our Athletic Department.
Might have a couple details wrong but that's more or less the story. Also pretty damn funny that you can tell how much Neuheisel still hates her that he'd whip out that story and tell it on national TV.

The Exhibition Season is Over
Now the long march begins. What I have seen tells me that some of you may get that chance to rake me over hot coals and draw and quarter me as the Fighting Fishes make the playoffs. Or I'll be right and the tuff B1G teams run all over the scrappy Dawg D. Either way it is still interesting at this point
To be fair outscoring the other guy is now Husky Football. All I cared about under DeBoer was the W and that's all I care about under Fisch. I sensed the panic in the Force watching yet another back up QB have the round of his life until the lightening hit him with another Husky Pick 6
However for the first time I am buying Demond stock. He's not over rated or over hyped. I see what the big deal is. We'll see how that plays against the B1G bully Buckeyes. Coleman and Muhammed. Boston has me hooked on a feeling. The offense is legit.
Spinning the dial after the birthday party I watched Nebraska not be back for the 27th consecutive year as the Michigan squad ran over the Huskers. If you can't stop the run you will lose to Michigan
At the same time My Sooners were winning a thriller over Auburn 17-16
At night I saw what was the most impressive performance of the day as Coach Cigarette led Indiana to a 63-10 wipeout of Illinois. You can say Illinois sucks because they do but they are better than WSU. I told you Cig can coach. All he does is win
Miama whipped Florida paving the way for Fisch to go there if he beats the Buckeyes
USC crushed Michigan State. Reilly has his offense in there now. Cal alas was too fucking high as they got boat raced by SDSU
