I read the Wall Street Journal almost everyday, years and years ago. They've become almost as woke as The Seattle Times Oregonian. The WSJ once upon a time was an relatively conservative publication except they were the whip for the Chambers of Commerce on open borders to lower labor costs. Once the Murdochs got their hands on it, it was all over. If you are a bright young conservative with writing skills you will be severely underpaid for your skills at really any legacy media. So you don't even consider going into the business. What's left is poorly educated leftards who don't have alternatives except for DEI positions in big government or big crony capitalism. Hence Target and going all in on tranny wear. Or the Ivy League idiots who thought that Mulvaney should be a great breakout for all the trannies that weren't drinking Bud Light.
