Scott Greenwood was my stepdad's neighbor, before he died of cancer. A few months after my mom started dating my future stepdad, they had a neighborhood BBQ in the street in Mountlake Terrace. I was 17 years old. My stepdad points at me and turns to Greenwood and says "Derek here is a big Husky fan. Knows all the scores and stats." Greenwood goes, "I'll bet anything he doesn't remember me." I asked him his last name, he said "Greenwood." I was like, "Oh sure, you played in the '78 Rose Bowl. You caught a TD pass from Warren Moon in the Apple Cup."
He was something like, "That's impressive, and a bit weird."
