PM to Taylor Rapp

Position (and assistant) coaches often protect players from the wrath of the head coach. They hide your weed, skipping classes, banging of tutors, coming back after curfew, and generally play the good cop to Head coaches bad cop.Meek said:I cannot imagine Pete would let Rapp watch from the sideline if he wasn’t legitimately injured. He’d send him to the front door to buy a ticket.
Lake is the cool guy recruiter, he would cover for Rapp.

This.CuntWaffle said:Rapp probably did have an injury but could have played... but was worried he would tweak it bad hurting his draft stock which is bullshit. End of story.
It's the freaking Rose bowl.
If you don't think his draft prospects played a role you're FS. -
haha the sign stealing. What a useless thing.phineas said:This was all probably Pete's idea. Let's not forget, hes the same asshole who brought a purple shower curtain to the sideline to hide his play calls from graham.
The massive competitive advantage that no one ever thought of besides Todd Graham who just coincidentally happened to have a son who was a sign-stealing savant. And yet when the tremendous success was realized from this ingenious master plan, no one else in college football replicated it or hired an army of sign-stealing analysts.
Oh wait, because trying to decipher the other teams signs then at the last second signal changes to the defense is fucking retarded and leads to confusion and blown coverage to the tune of having the worst pass defense in college football history.
Honestly trying to hide them was even dumber. -
Lots of bullshit speculation here, even for a board that specializes in bullshit speculation. I’m inclined to give Rapp the benefit of the doubt here until someone confirms otherwise. I don’t see why he’d try warming and suiting up as some charade when plenty of players have no problems coming out and announcing well in advance that they won’t play. I also don’t see the need to slam a guy who has been nothing but an absolute legend for us for all three of his years without actually knowing if he chose to sit out or not. LIFPO you cowshits.

hey fucktard if you expect us to act like rational adults and make judgements after hearing all the facts. All i got to to tell you that you not going to last long here. s/o @HeretoBeatmyChestGreenRiverGatorz said:Lots of bullshit speculation here, even for a board that specializes in bullshit speculation. This is a trend that I find disturbing. It's rational and I understand it and I don't have a ready argument to offer. But, it threatens to ruin the bowls if it becomes a "thing", which it arguably already is.WeakarmCobra said:

If Pete cant convince Rapp to play under these circs, then there is no disputing this coaching fail.ZoneUW said:Pete is a pussy

Terrible take @DooglesDoogles said:Chill the fuck out on the Rapp bashing. It wasn't a playoff game, that's just the landscape today.
Y'all want elite players, this is going to happen if you don't make it to the big show. Bosa quit on Ohio State after spring ball.
Rapp is a northwest kid and the heart of that defense. Him sitting out is a borderline criminal offense to all the other guys on that team. FTG forever. And I believe Shane, not some bullshit cover up orchestrated by the AD after the fact. Kid sat out. Bitch move. Fuck him. -
Rapp culture forever changed? Better game with him playing.
If only Browning completes the pass to Fuller at the end of the first half. Huge incompletion.
The close games tend to come down to one or two plays.
Just need to end the NY6 loosing streak.
Looking back...Studs need to play and QBs need to complete passes. -
Fuck every asshole in here who shits on one of the best players and ambassadors for the program under Pete based on fucking rumors.
Even if he did sit out I can't blame him for not wanting to risk an injury in a game we had no chance to win with Brownsocks under center.
This game was a fucking rape where the score was prettied up in garbage time, just like the Penn State game.
You want someone to blame? Start with Petersen and Browning, then maybe Hamdan. You're all fags. -
@SpiritHorse confirmed? I don’t care what the experts say, if you don’t finish what you start it’s going to bit you in the ass in the end.Swaye said:

I don't think it's much of a rumor. A person on this bored talked to two former players who both said he sat out for "business reasons." Another person on this bored spoke to the mother of a current player who said he was sitting out to protect his draft stock. This isn't confirmation from Rapp's mouth, but it isn't exactly fourth hand either. If he really was injured, fine, shit happens. If he bitched out and tried to weakly cover it with a mostly fake injury, as is being suggested by people who talked to people seemingly in the know, then FTG with a rusty cheese grater.NorwegianHusky said:Fuck every asshole in here who shits on one of the best players and ambassadors for the program under Pete based on fucking rumors.

I know one thing, we could have used him last night, badly. Everyone else got abused. -
Fuck that guy, what a pussy. Get insurance and play the damn game, ass butt.

It's pretty simple - Lake/Peterman didn't want to signal to Urban the gaping hole in the defense prior to the game.TTJ said:If he decided weeks ago to sit this one out, why was he out there trying to warm up? There’s gotta be more to this story.
It still only took Urbs about 3 plays to figure it out.
Conspiracy theory that Peterman helped concoct the 'gameday decision' angle.

I don't know. I understand protecting your investment. But if I was Taylor I think it would nag at me the rest of my life, that I turned down a chance to play in a Rose Bowl.
-
Plus I would feel like I'd let my brothers down.
-
Most of these kids don't give a shit about the rose bowl. At least not like previous generations. It's playoffs or bust. college football as we knew it is dead. It's just different now.DerekJohnson said:I don't know. I understand protecting your investment. Part of my post is that a bunch of you guys think you know more than you really do.
I'm not going to bash a kid who might legitimately be injured. And for you guys saying play through it, what would it have done to his stock if he was unable to cut and cover effectively against their explosive O and looked like a fool.
WE Don't KNOW for sure, so I'm not jumping to drunk conclusions. -
So you're saying you can't say anything without proof in hand?Doogles said:Part of my post is that a bunch of you guys think you know more than you really do.

Like I said, it's rational and I don't have a ready argument. But now that it has reached, or soon will reach, trend, think about what it does to cfb.topdawgnc said:

Exactly. What do NY6 bowl's even mean if in 10 years the 3-4 best players on every team are all sitting out? I'll just say fuck it and sit around diddling myself and not watch any of itcreepycoug said:
