It is recruiting site marketing bullshit 101.DoogCourics said:I don't think it's McCoy, but there is a prospect Roof is being super fucking coy about. I don't buy it, but she claims there is someone who no one expects that is really looking at UW.
She says Bandes, Wright, Buelow, and Heimuli are the next four to pop, then she lists an anonymous 5th.
"This is one that we are holding onto and cannot reveal at this time because the timeline is questionable. If we posted a timeline it might become obvious, so we're leaving it alone, but there is a guy who might be ready to come out of left field and surprise even the most pragmatic recruitniks."
I ain't saying it's McCoy so don't twist, but this bitch loves her secrets. -

Read an article in The Ringer about JT Daniels. Article says he and Bru McCoy are besties:“You could ask him, out of nowhere, ‘Hey, what’s this play?’ from a game prior … and he would go down the board of everybody’s responsibility,” says Bru McCoy, a five-star athlete in the class of 2019 and Daniels’s best friend since seventh grade. “He watched so much film that he knew the plays by heart in order, by number, just literally from going through constantly, clicking it through and playing it over and over.”For whatever that's worth to the folks clinging to hope and thinking of an annual subscription to StrongArmRoof's website.

The Mater Dei receiver is going to reunite with the Mater Dei quarterback at the Mater Dei university?Squirt said:Read an article in The Ringer about JT Daniels. Article says he and Bru McCoy are besties:

Visiting UW next weekend. I'm sure he'll love our 7-3 losing effort to ASU in a dark, rainy stadium
-
Are we sure dark and rainy is a bad thing? -
Lived up to your handle on that one.dipwad said:

I'm slightly optimistic until thinking about how USC's new coach will get all of these guys.
-
The took a commitment from another middle of the road RB recruit today, their top guys committed already are taking visits elsewhere and elite guys who should be shoe-ins for them are still milling about. Their recruiting situation should impact the decision to fire Helton more than the current performance on the field.RoadDawg55 said:I'm slightly optimistic until thinking about how USC's new coach will get all of these guys.

He needs more time

I actually love their RB recruits though, they got super lucky, they should both be 4 starsDomicillo said:

I don't think USC's new coach bump will have a huge effect on recruiting until next year. Bru is probably going somewhere equally stupid like Texas. Seems like he likes them. If he were smart he'd go to Oklahoma.

This is where the early signing day destroys teams like USC. In the past they could bank on a huge recruiting class by firing their shit coach who recruited great and then hire a new coach and everyone gets fired up about the future... then they steal everyone the last week before signing day.RoadDawg55 said:I'm slightly optimistic until thinking about how USC's new coach will get all of these guys.
Now, 80% of prospects are signed in December and they can't really do shit about it. It's such a massive advantage for us and such a huge issue for teams like USC.
This is going to bring them to their knees if they don't get a great coach... because if USC doesn't sign top 10 classes every year, can you imagine how fucking bad they'll be?
I don't think they are even going to be like 6-6 regularly, that's not my point. But I could see them ending up with situations where they finish 15-20 in recruiting every year and that will lead to a lot of 8-9 win seasons down in South Central. -
I read their boreds. It's like the Lord of the Flies there. So interesting.
One side: yeah, we be USC, wake me up in February when we land a top 5 class as usual. The sky isn't falling you guys.
Other side: the sky is falling, fire everyone! -
I'm hearing it isn't over until they enroll though.Dennis_DeYoung said:
