We spend more than that. In 2013 we gave over 81 Bill to parents of anchor babies. I’m guessing that number is well over 100 Billion now. That’s the number that open border retards fail to acknowledge as they cry “but but illegals pay taxes and don’t get them back!!!!”2001400ex said:We don't deal in hypotheticals. That being said. For perspective. We spend about $60 billion a year in food stamps and just increased military spending by $80 billion.
They get em back alright, about five fold, once they start pumping out kids.

This thread is bananas.

Is this the post where OBK jumped the shark? Or was that years ago and I missed it?oregonblitzkrieg said:
It's really naive to think there wouldn't be. America is like Bama. Everyone wants to be them. Every football player wants to play for them. Even after Saban retires and they become a shitty team again, the residual after effects of their success will still lure many to Tuscaloosa despite the fact that they are no longer what they once were. Same with America. People will come even if there is no opportunity left because of the HYPE they've heard their whole lives, that America is the land of opportunity, the greatest nation on Earth. And because its better than the shithole they live in.MikeDamone said:
You create some nice strawmen to attack.oregonblitzkrieg said:
You're the resident tome of economics history and scholarship. But I'm not sure you consider all of the possible outcomes if the philosophies you follow were into practice. For example, what level of social unrest would be caused by an open borders policy, and how would it be contained? If the people in a libertarian country voted in a communist government, what would happen then? It doesn't seem to have the answers to those kinds of questions. It doesn't seem capable of defending its own existence.MikeDamone said:

I've read his shit but its been awhile. Everyone has the right to control their own body and life, sure, up to the point where it infringes on someone else's life or liberty.MikeDamone said:
You’re not familiar with Locke? Are you being serious about not knowing what self ownership is? This leads me to believe you also are not clear on property rights.oregonblitzkrieg said:
Who doesn't agree with property rights, except for commies and socialists. Define self ownership.MikeDamone said:
Do you agree with property rights and self ownership? Hondo doesn’t.oregonblitzkrieg said:
This is a Hondo level poast.MikeDamone said:
Because right or left, people love the state and fight to use it to their gain and disagree with property rights and self ownership. You certainly do.oregonblitzkrieg said:Libertarianism has its merits but it also has its limitations. As far as ever becoming a viable political/social system, it just doesn't pass the stress test.
What is the basis for the assumption that there would be social unrest? People only immigrante if there is opportunity. If there is little opportunity there is no immigration.
You're also not taking into consideration the unrest that would be caused by massive immigration from cultures that are not compatible with Western values, like those in the Middle East. We don't want more Islam, we want less Islam. We don't want more Mexicans, we want less Mexicans. Pole the cuntry and I think you would find 80% approval for less, not more immigration. -
We sre simply not going to march 15 to 20 million people back to where ever
The only logical solution is the compromise to close the border, build the wall, punish employers and then work out the path or road or trail to some sort of citizenship for those here
So it will never happen
We'll be having this same argument when you guys are as old as I am -

You're only against the wall because of TDS and your masters told you to be
-
While that comment is cute. I'm against the wall because the majority of illegal immigrants enter the country legally and overstay their visa. The wall will not be effective enough to justify the cost. And Mexico won't pay for it.RaceBannon said:You're only against the wall because of TDS and your masters told you to be

The wall is an easy compromise for the democrats to get what they say they want to protect illegals.
The fact that they won't do it is telling.
They don't give a shit
