Browning needs more time?
Time will tell? It's the end of his junior season. He doesn't need any more time.
He is who he is. You can't coach a new personality into a player. He panics and wilts under pressure. No amount of coaching can fix that.
You either have "it" or you don't. Jake doesn't have it and never will. He may as well get into coaching now. -
The time has been told, Huard. It's never going to happen.jecornel said:Needs to elevate his game put this team on his back. Has yet to do so.

We Should offer Bama a trade for Hurts.
Browning could sit in his clean pocket all day there and make pass to a wide open guy after 10 seconds.
Hurts could come here and if His first read isn't open he will panic and run downfield, Improvement over Browning running backward.
it's a win for both teams. -
Motherfucking this. If we had a QB who could simply make 1st downs with their legs and hell maybe throw in a little option, we are undefeated. I'm done with this noodle arm, cerebral, pocket QB stuff after this season. If we have a pocket QB, he better have an NFL arm and throw spot on bombs. If not this, then the fucker better make shit happen being a threat to run.Bread said:We Should offer Bama a trade for Hurts.

In other words, everything puppy has been saying fgor 2 years. See Pups post on "is Jake untouchable" below. Posted before Huard spewed his shit. My asnalysis of Browning goes back to waaaay last year. Has never changed. Browning peaked in fall camp 2016jecornel said:Needs to elevate his game put this team on his back. Has yet to do so.

Well, as long as he makes vulgar posts about buttstuff on a regular basis. -
Fuck you @AIRWOLF - in Marques’ first fucking game we saw that dude was brave.
It doesn’t take long.
When you are special (in either direction) it’s not hard to detect. Jake is a special choke/snowflake artist. That was clear immediately.
Ask my TV. -

Stop hating on Jake. Coaches fault for not focusing on the run attack and how to make Jake a good supplement to that game planning.

We can hate Jake AND the coaches. HTHGwad said:Stop hating on Jake. Coaches fault for not focusing on the run attack and how to make Jake a good supplement to that game planning.
As always, abundance. -
Focus on the coaches? Yeah duh.
I’ve been saying for years our fucking QB recruiting is awful and we need someone to push Jake you fuckbag.
Doesn’t mean Jake doesn’t pee himself constantly.
Would be nice if we had the “shit show” that is Skinny Eason right about now. Boy was he awful at UGA.
Might be nice to have Justin Herbert too. Oh well. Good thing we offered him a week after Oregon did in fucking October or whatever. Could’ve offered him in the spring off his junior film, but who does that?
I mean, every fucking moron dickwad around here was telling me we were set for the future at QB and wouldn’t need anyone else.
NEWSFLASH YOU SHIT FOR BRAINSES: YOU ALWAYS NEED TALENT.
People get injured, get worse (especially when there is no competition, weird right?!?) suck, leave early, etc.
I can’t remember whether it was here or dawgman (shows you how blind you idiots are about talent acquisition that I can’t remember) but someone was arguing with me that it was underestimating Jake to say that he’d need competition to push him. He’d never had it in HS and look at his HS numbers!!! -
Can not understate the importance of having athletes compete for playing time, even at QB. Seem to remember there was like this one year where we had 2 pretty good QBs who had to compete again each other and we won a Natty or half of one. Something like that...Dennis_DeYoung said:Focus on the coaches? Yeah duh.

In my personal experience, I can remember a few guys on my teams at UW who were definitely good enough just on raw talent to be in the top boats, but the coach never made them actually have to "earn it" by exposing them to competition. End result was you had a few individuals who only had to put in 75% of the normal effort and still were assured a "pre ordained" spot. -
Not 81%?YellowSnow said:

Nope. 81% is football speak. Doesn't translate to row boat.PurpleBaze said: -
So, what you're saying is that rowing is a $75K sport?YellowSnow said: -
Baze, you would puke 30 seconds into row boat. So would I, but that's another discussion.PurpleBaze said: -

I wouldn't hate on the kid if he didn't think he was a bad-ass and 1000x better than he is. Is it immoral to hate on a clueless dummy? Methinks not.Gwad said:Stop hating on Jake. Coaches fault for not focusing on the run attack and how to make Jake a good supplement to that game planning.

It takes one to know one. Brock was a soft, tap dancing, dipshit like Browning. Brock shit all over himself....97 apple cup, anyone?

I would take Brock any day over Jake. At least Brock had some positive characteristics. At this point, Jake basically socks on every fucking dimension you can have.dannarc said:It takes one to know one. Brock was a soft, tap dancing, dipshit like Browning. Shitty arm? Yes.
Choke artist? Yes.
Locks on to receivers? Yes.
Comedically bad pocket presence? Yes.
You get the picture. There is basically nothing redeeming about him. He RPO’d into that ridiculous deep pass to Pettis after we were gashing Stanford.
I can’t think of one quality he has now that is still positive.
