This is a GOOD Washington team

Back to back 10-1 with a Rose Bowl win
91 was sandwiched between a 2 loss and 3 loss season. You have to go back to Gil Dobie.
We've been 12-0 once.
We're not at play off or bust and no one including Bama is at unbeaten or bust
Most champions have a loss.
Winning the Pac matters. And we should expect it in this run.
We're as good as any B1G or Big 8 team. Don't know about the ACC. We're as good as 99% of the SEC
Enjoy it. Anyone here remember the 15 years of shame and defeat? Petersen is building a monster.
That's not being a doog. That's being a fan. Some of you need to learn the difference.

All that being said, Jake Browning sucks
-
Your math is wrong. We are roughly better than 92% of the SEC

Petersen is building a football factory. It seems like football isn't his job, it is his life. It is pretty awesome watching this machine be assembled.
-
That was an old timey beat down of Oregon. Now if we could just get HS back to old timey decibal levels.

someone please tell me the last time "we" played schedules like this two years in a row...

So, your saying, Peterman reminds you of Jim Owens w/o the flattop?

Probably during most of the Sark years?gmo said:someone please tell me the last time "we" played schedules like this two years in a row...

In the 80s and 90s we played an 8 game PAC schedule and scheduled a game against another power 6 conference. Now we have 9 conference games. The Rutgers game was a much better game when the game was scheduled. That being said, no team from Montana should ever on our schedule.gmo said:someone please tell me the last time "we" played schedules like this two years in a row...

This is as good team, the season isn't over, yet, but it's not complete either. I hope I'm wrong, but given their habit of starting slow, Brownshorts making far too many appearances, and a kicking game that has been embarrassingly bad, I'm thinking another loss or two could be on the horizon. It all depends on whether or not the Tempe Dawgs re-appear.
Totally agree that Petersen is building a monster. He's the best coach in the conference and it's not close. Washington Football feels like Washington Football again. It has been a long goddamned time since that could be said with a straight face. No doubt, it is a good time to be a Husky Fan. Young doogs should treasure it, and us older doogs ought to remember what it felt like going from taking Rose Bowl wins for granted to watching an epic train wreck of shit show nearly destroy the program for all time.

Yes, this is my point. I think we should be happy with the direction of this team especially considering our recent history. I also think we shouldn't get too excited and use 1 loss seasons as a barometer for anything, considering the quality of our schedules the past two seasons. This is a good not great team as it is currently constructed. Hope I am wrong but I anticipate during this two year stretch we will be 0-3 after all is said and done vs. elite opponents.2001400ex said:

It's why I made sure to push as many grandma's down the stairs as I could last night.

This is the official poast of my heart.
Out-of-conference schedules are going to sort themselves out. Pete is unbelievable.
Check some facts:
-We have a completely dog shit, noodle arm QB who folds and is a loser.
-We have an offensive coordinator that is a fucktard.
-We are at 60% of where we can be talent-wise.
-We have major injuries to two of our 5 most talented players (Trey and Murph)
-We are down 3-4 starters on offense.
-We are down both our starting CBs
And we just fucking DESTROYED a middling Oregon team that has more talent than us. Like destroyed.
Our defense is allowing 10.5ppg in conference which is TWICE AS GOOD as the SECOND BEST TEAM (USC 22.3ppg). We are the #1 D in terms of yards per play as well. BY OVER A YARD.
Do you shitfucks remember when Nick Holt was here? I forgot what it felt like to be in the TOP HALF of the conference on defense.
On dawgman people used to tell me we could never compete with SC's defense and it was RIDICULOUS to think we could be top 1-2 in defense in the conference because TIMES HAD CHANGED.
Pete is unreal.
If we had the OC to match the DC and a decent QB, we would be unbeatable even with our B-level talent. And I suspect all of those issues will be remedied within the next 3-5 years.
The future is bright and I'm just happy it happened in Race Bannon's lifetime. I'm weeping!!! -

If UW shits the bed against Stanford, this thread should be pinned forever to save everyone the effort of bumping it.

UW losing this week would be a much, much bigger failure than ASU.TierbsHsotBoobs said:If UW shits the bed against Stanford, this thread should be pinned forever to save everyone the effort of bumping it.

True. But their defense is better than ASU and Washington has only beaten gimps on the road so far this year.haie said:

Stanford SUCKS as usual, but they are the best opponent Washington will play away from home yet this season. This isn't a guaranteed win.
It is nice to see Race back to Full Doog though. It's who he has always been at heart. -

Couple thoughts on this thread:
OP is why @RaceBannon is still the GOAT poster and I am a #minion4lyfe
This defense is absolutely fucking nails and can play with anybody in the cuntry
We have to get a couple pipe swinging kids to replace Gaines/Vea (not likely this year), a real QB (will work itself out with Yankoff/Sirmon winner), and some better OL/WR (we have a great class in both spots this season). Then legit national damage is within reach.
Deport Vizcaino
Pete is the man. I have not expected to win every game since Lambo, and that was just DJ hangover, and year 1/2 Skippy
If we win the conference this year I will go batshit. I don't care how fucking gay the Pac-12 is, I want to win it. King of the queers beats the alternative
I am enjoying the fuck out of this, even with some painful losses like ASU, because the alternative is Gilby/Ty/Sark fail. -
Still got to win two tough games in California. -
The beavers ran over Stanford. Their run d is terrible. This game is going to be ugly. Stanford is going to quit like Oregon did.
-
Aside from “Horrible Harry” they don’t look great on that side either. Their corners look like dreck.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

They just look like a disciplined team that’s shitty talentwise and hopes you turn it over to them like OSU did. Scrappy little couglets out-muscled them. They were only really in it from a patented Falk pick 6.
Unlike ASU this is a home game. -
outside of the opening defensive drives. I have a hard time not getting a boner watching our defense play.

Everyone sucks.
