I question his speed. I mean, I could run 358 yards in *way* less than 30 minutes.
This ain't the WAC, Petersen! -

Seems like a great hire then considering all the OL are coming from Oregon. Kirkland agreesdnc said:

Very Gaskinesque. If you think this kid is a receiver you know nothing (Jim Cramer voice). Especially given the bump crop of WR this year. I have a feeling Oregon fans are going to begin to hate Matt Lubick, especially given the rare year that state has more talent than Washington.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love the idea of Trey Lowe as Washington's running back almost as I hate the idea of Trey Lowe as Oregon's running back. IMO, Peterman isn't FS enough to do so that.

Fair enough, I'll TL;DR.
This is Trey Lowe.

This is Keanon Lowe in high school. Chip Kelly told him if he wanted to come to Oregon, he wasn't a running back because he wasn't big or fast enough.
In link form, because linking to MaxPreps is dumb.
Because of all the stat drooling, this is Thomas Tyner going Al Bundy times 2.5. A legit Pac-12 guy is going to do that against guys who'll be pumping gas in six months.

Gaskin is at 195, and was about ten pounds heavier than Trey Lowe in high school. Keanon Lowe ended up at 185 his senior year. He was the same size in high school as Trey. The running back in Oregon's class after Keanon played at about 180. He stuck at running back for about three years until injuries made him a slot guy. Never had more than 100 carries in a season, or more than 18 in one game even though he was the starting RB at one time. A guy by the name of DAT. No matter how elusive you are at the Pac-12 level, guys are going to hit you eventually.
I like Trey Lowe, and won't give the Quookish WDWHA line being bandied about eDuck. But if he's a Pac-12 running back, his size makes him about a 75-carry-per-year running back who plays mostly passing downs. Oregon has two of those guys for 2018. They need a guy who can compete with Verdell to replace Royce Freeman. A smart coach makes Trey Lowe a slot gut though and minimizes the number of hits he takes.
