There's a "system" in place that fails against the top tier teams. UW is still knocking on the door of winning the "Big One" until they aren't. @Dennis_DeYoung the ease of recruiting for a few of the coaches I think also speaks very well about the talent coming out of WA. No excuses for Polish mortician and the Bad German, but there's enough talent for losers and average coaches to bring in quality players? For ex, I had no idea about Tyron and Gaye until late in the process. In a convoluted way, that speaks well for UW moving forward.

Their o-line was a complete dumpster fire and their WR corps was 2015 UW bad... Isaiah McKenzie was their only decent upperclassman and he's a 5'8 slot receiver. If you want evidence of how bad the o-line was, look at what happened to Nick Chubb's rushing numbers (and don't blame it on the knee injury, his best game was the season opener):
2014 - 7.1 YPC
2015 - 8.1 YPC
2016 - 5.0 YPC
Eason isn't a superstar, but he's far from being labeled as a shitty bad player. He'll only get better as the o-line and receiver situations improve thanks to the monster recruiting classes Kirby Smart pulled in the last 2 cycles. -
