OFFICIAL Masters Gamethread

Hard to bet against Jason Day, but hoping my boy Spieth goes back to back. He owns at Augusta.

Gonna be hard to top last year's majors.

Oosthuizen is fucking good, and he's always in the mix at Augusta.

Could this thread be any more old, rich, and white?

Hey, they asked about Tiger. What more do you want.

Speith just got it to -3 and haven't even made the turn yet.

The afternoon groups are going to murder this course today.

Keegan Bradley -2 thru 2. That's pretty impressive

That approach shot on 18 was perfect.

Always thought golf was like soccer but on an "individual sport" level versus "team sport" level.

I'm surprised that I'm shocked that Spieth shot a 66 today ... he's been playing very so-so as of late.

At this point, hard to not consider him a horse for the course.

    Time to Jordan proof it.

That's what is great about his game ... you can't Jordan proof it ...

BTW, I laugh at the idea of needing to make radical changes at Augusta. If you go back and look at last year's numbers, scoring was ideal and still only a handful got to double figures under par. More years than not the winning score is between 8 and 10 under.

I guess I could see the idea of adding just a little bit of length to 13 to make the drive a little more difficult and a slightly longer 2nd shot in.

Just saw the video of Arnie this morning ... he's not looking good. Definitely sounding from the tributes and whatnot that is coming around this week that it is very possible that this is Arnie's last Masters.

I like 6 putting from 2 feet on the first hole. Ah hell, who am I kidding, I pick it up after 2 putts.

Don't forget to make a tribute thread for Arnie when he croaks. Your rip post when Dean Smith died was exceptionally classy.

Don't worry ... I will. Arnie's as influential in sports as a whole as really anybody else ... and as for great as Jack's legacy is on the course, Arnie's legacy throughout the game surpasses Jack. And the reality is that both of their legacies will live on forever in so many different ways ... including their golf courses that they've built globally.

My late Grandma told me stories from the late 1940s and early 1950s of her and Grandpa being in Palmer's "gallery". She told me of one time where it was just them and another couple, and they walked right alongside the golfers. Galleries didn't come into vogue until a little later.

I wish I could remember who the others were they walked with. I want to say Sam Snead but I'm not positive.
