I hope I'm wrong because a deep depression is starting to set in for me. I thought we would eek out 6-6 this season... 5-7 looks wildly optimistic now. I don't see us doing better than 7-5 next season... its a nightmare and nobody who has the authority to do anything cares enough to do it.

There is no scenario where Smith doesn't get fired. Sorry. I know Woodward sucks and Pete blows, but you can't finish dead last twice in a row and not be shown your walking papers.

If Peatson was a defensive guru and the offense was having these problems I might have hope, but offense is supposed to be his wheel house. Anyone who thinks this isn't peanissons offense is as blind as grandpa sankey. -
I don't think Smith and this O is going to give Pete a choice unless the light bulb magically goes on and we become a ball control/gaskin 25-30 carries per game/run 60-65% team and we see a big corner being turned.
Minimum Smith becomes just the qb coach and someone else from outside is the new oc.
If not then CP appears to be the captain willing to go down with the ship and his crew -
