Such fag, J. That said, this run is over, and possibly the franchise as a whole.
-
I still like their odds of reaching the playoffs this year, believe it or not.
-
Me too. The timeline sets up perfectly for 0-16 in, say, 2030.DerekJohnson said:I still like their odds of reaching the playoffs this year, believe it or not.

I want to believe. And I do think it's a huge overreaction to say it's all over. This season might be a lost one though. What pisses me off is that the Seahawks really aren't that bad. They were up two scores against two undefeated teams the past two weeks.DerekJohnson said:I still like their odds of reaching the playoffs this year, believe it or not.

This season is leaning towards a lost season ...
Egos have gotten involved in my mind and some of the players have lost a bit of the chips on their shoulder that got them to where they were.
I expect some sizable changes in the offseason but the core will ultimately be the ones that drive next year. There will be some new and fresh infusion of players in that will be hungry to be winners.
My gut tells me that this is Petey's last year. -
I don't think Pete wants to go out known as the guy who made the worst play call in sports history. He wants one more Superbowl with the team he built from the ground up. This season might be lost but the team is still relatively young. The biggest issue going forward IMO is that Russell Wilson hasn't progressed enough to be worth that $21 million a year cap hit. He needs to get it going fast.Tequilla said:This season is leaning towards a lost season ...

I'll be there tonight #hook4life

I've missed watching the past 2 games. Well, I guess I didn't miss anything, except a couple of coog-it efforts.
Anyway, I'm gearing up to watch what should prove to be a fugly game tonight.
I wonder how many flags will come off of cars and how many middle-aged women will stop wearing their Russell Wilson jerseys if the Hawks blow the game tonight? -
Pete will be coaching a NFL team in LA next year. Cook it!

Hopefully he takes BevellFS with him.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Pete will be coaching a NFL team in LA next year. Cook it!

I know you're being sarcasmic, but no fucking chance he's leaving Paul Allen's checkbook and the system he's established in Seattle to go rebuild somebody. Pete does things too differently from the rest of the league, even if a good team moves to LA it's not going to be the team Pete wants.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:Pete will be coaching a NFL team in LA next year. Coach stays until he retires. -
Unlike the Dawgs, I don't think the Hawks' management will purposely try to destroy them.PurpleJ said:As someone who is known for mercilessly trolling Seahawks fans, I have to admit that this franchise isn't going anywhere. You've built a winner based on a tuff defense and running game, and you have the loudest fans in the nation. There is a waiting list for season tickets and everyone expects a winner. That combination of fan support and pressure on the front office to produce means that the Seahawks may have a down year or two, but will ultimately be in the title race for years to come. That type of thing doesn't just disappear overnight.
Sincerely,
The Washington Huskies
I hate being a Hawk Doog but the combined record of their losses is 19-3 with two losses in OT and two others in the fourth quarter.
IF their OLine improves at all and Bevelle doesn't remain a moron - big ifs - they'll make the playoffs.

In fact the more likely scenario would be Schneider going to the Pack.dnc said:

This team reminds me a little of the '04 team. Expectations were really high and they barely got to 9-7. There were some whiners on that team.

But, then he'd have to live in Green bay... In a dying market... without the richest owner in sports... and the freedom to do WETFHWdnc said:

Talk if executives leaving ...
Kinda odd.
Paul Allen is one of the best owners in the NFL
Why would someone leave? -
I didn't say it would happen, I just said it's far more likely than Carroll leaving the Seahawks. Schneider *might* go the Pack in the same way that we thought Mora *might* come to UW. Leaving a better job for a worse one just because you love the worst one. It's not likely, but it could happen. There's no chance Carroll leaves for anything but retirement.sarktastic said:

Is Schneider really that good? When Carroll came out of college he had a ton of scouting reports on all the draftees when he was trying to recruit them to USC. Since then, the Hawks drafts have been pretty meh. Also, he generally tends to spend way too much on trades.dnc said:

I think his best attribute is signing undervalued guys to below market contracts, but even those are backfiring now because of holdout demands (Chancellor, Bennett).
As long as Paul Allen stays owner and if they can keep Petey on board as some kind of executive after he retires I think those two things would be more important than keeping Schneider as GM. -
I completely agree about Petey, but evidence points to Schneider being really good.SteveInShelton said:
