why USC is the Pac-12's most overrated team. -
The people that think we struggle to stay bowl eligible make me laff. 8+ wins easy in our dreckfest division and ooc schedule.
-
This. Lindquist is the starter for two more years, leading us to the Rose Bowl next year, and Browning the starter for the following two/three years.PurpleJ said:The people that think we struggle to stay bowl eligible make me laff. 8+ wins easy in our dreckfest division and ooc schedule.

Since ty made it look so fucking easy, people have forgotten how fucking difficult it actually is to lose 7 games in this day and age (at this altitude)PurpleJ said:The people that think we struggle to stay bowl eligible make me laff. 8+ wins easy in our dreckfest division and ooc schedule.
If Pete doesn't get this team bowel eligible with 2 games remaining, then he needs to roll around on the 50 yard line with Swaye's blankets.

UW was 4-5 last year. How much worse than that will it get?

There are some fantastic threads from last summer.
Bored consensus was 10-12 wins. Peterman got 8.
The defense with FOUR ACTUAL DRAFT PICKS was 97th in the land.
Something isn't adding up in Washington State, and it isn't Vernon Adam's maff final -
You're better than this.
4 draft picks + 2 true freshmen + 5 sisters of the poor (MAC talent) = 97th in the land.
Oh, this guy didn't help the defense much either. Quite effective on third down conversions with that motion.
-
I don't disagree. But...MisterEm said:You're better than this.

Nobody knew how bad Cyler was going to be. We simply couldn't move the sticks and the D gassed out.

Reading that thread makes me realize I am just a dumb fucking donkey and should stick to tit and fart jokes. FML.

The defense was #51 in yards per play. When you adjust for how long it was on the field, how terrible the offense was and how many points the D itself scored, it was definitely a top 35/40 defense. Clearly worse than expected, but nowhere near 97.
Enjoy your regression this season. -

#78 in total defense

#120 in pass defense

The NCAA doesn't maintain the SRS stats, though -

Why do you think we have the battered wife? We always end up feeling stupid for thinking we won't suck. Petermen caused irrational exuberance.
Now this year we expect nothing. And we'll get it! -

The team is shit and we're all fags.

That is why I was struggling to make any prediction going into last season. We didn't know what we had at QB.Doogles said:Nobody knew how bad Cyler was going to be. We simply couldn't move the sticks and the D gassed out.
We have seen so many times in college how a bad QB can be a disaster for a team that wouldn't be awful otherwise. Sark was a master at winning against these kind of teams by the way, better than us but where we were able to focus on their QB and let him hand us the game.
Well last year we lost at the QB lottery.
But in the same vein, I am not as pessimistic as the consensus seem to be for this year. We have seen what, 1 full game of Lindquist, Carter Samuel, and Browning combined, and we already know we are fucked? What if one of them is decent? That will make everybody else around him look better. He doesn't need to be Andrew Luck for that. Just decent. The likely scenario is he will get killed by his OL no matter what... but still. -
During PAC 12 play the defense wasn't bad. Other than Oregon and UCLA they played well. The Eastern game completely fucked the overall stats.
-
And the ending to the Arizona game made us forget how well they did against an offense that pretty much lit up everyone else. So did CalRoadDawg55 said:During PAC 12 play the defense wasn't bad. Other than Oregon and UCLA they played well. The Eastern game completely fucked the overall stats.

So it was a biased #97 ranking? Skewed? Abundance...?RaceBannon said:

I want a ranking that accounts for Timu's 5 pick 6 drops on the year.

Like previously mentioned, qb play sucked. We really didn't know how bad that pothead was. We're used to good to great QB play at Warshington. There was a time 15 or 20 years ago when 3-5 were in the fucking NFL at once.
If you inserted an average Pac 12 qb with an okay arm, you win at least one more gayme and likely two or possibly three. 8 + 2: 10. 10-4 was what many said.... -
You've had good QBG play
I'm gonna need to see actual good to great QB play within the last 15 years in Montlake.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Like previously mentioned, qb play sucked.
