GOP Was Right On Oil Drilling

"Not that this increase in drilling has anything to do with the President’s policies. Quite the contrary, he has been historically negligent in issuing permits for drilling on federal land and off shore. He has opposed efforts to open up Alaska drilling and will probably veto the Keystone pipeline."
Everything good, Republicans are the cause. Got it.
"As Ronald Reagan said “facts are stubborn things.” The fact is that, back in 2008, Republicans were right about drilling and Democrats were wrong."
There is my hero!!!! I approve this message. -
You are projecting a lot of your own political baggage into this one link. The fact is that gas prices are down, correct? And in this particular case, had we not drilled to create our own supply, prices would still be high, right?2001400ex said:"Not that this increase in drilling has anything to do with the President’s policies. This is saying a lot more than that. Domestic production of oil decreased 7 of 8 years under Bush and conservative rule. Then goes up every year under Obama. Yet the article says Obama has nothing to do with it and actually says Obama is making it more difficult.DerekJohnson said:

Curious, why don't I see and article on that website that says "GOP was wrong about ACA"? Given that they stated for years that the ACA would crater the economy and would cause massive layoffs. Has that happened yet?
You know what this proves? All politicians are full of shit. -
The fact of the matter is you had very high Oil prices over the last 10 years. That causes an increase in exploration & drilling and eventually supply. Not right away but eventually. Thats why domestic production has boomed. Its not a GOP/Obama/Bush thing.
Dick Morris is one of the most disgraceful partisan pundits out there. Obama is a douchebag. The end.

Yeah there's more to it than just supply and demand. The value of the dollar is a key component as well. The dollar has been going up versus other currencies which drives the price down.HeretoBeatmyChest said:The fact of the matter is you had very high Oil prices over the last 10 years. But yes, OPEC wanted to drive the price down so they kept drilling. Which also affected the price.
Then there's the speculators which also drive up the price. -
Honda. Just. Stop.

Lost in all of this.
Is the free market wins.
Money is flowing into fracking and oil, because that is what the market demands.
Meanwhile the government continues to try and fund solar panels on houses, and wind farms. -
And its like a pay raise for the middle class who have to commute. Obama is on record as wanting 5 dollar a gallon gas but he is for the little guy
Allegedly
