Regarding sling blade, Larry Coker had three very good years at Miami , including a NC, before Miami fell into the crapper. It also helps to have the best Qb in college football as David shaw has found out. Stanford is still decent post luck, but nowhere near what they were. Oregon will still be at least decent, too much talent. well just have to let it play out.

    This is 2014 Doog.

If Hellfrick gets Oregon into the playoff, he will have gone 22-3 over his first two years in the Pac-12 with roughly #20-#25 talent. He's still overachieving if he wins the league. If he doesn't win the Pac-12 with Mariota under center, he should be sliced into bite-sized pieces with an orange chainsaw at the Reser 50 yard line.

Coker had consistently top 5 talent at Miami, and some of the most talented teams ever to play college football. But do you know what really stands out to me about Coker's record at Miami? Here's a clue:

Maybe Hellfucker sucks but the offense looks as good as I've ever seen it. The defense... well, I've commented on that a few times. If he wins the league he's our guy for the foreseeable future so I will get in line.

So wait, I say Oregon is "top 20-25" talent, and Bartoo says "top 15" and I hate facts?

Bartoo also sez: "The Beavers and Cougars have great coaching"

I'll eat crow on Mora, though if he gets plungered again by Oregon in the championship game that will look really bad. Mora did a great job recruiting a ton of talent on that team and I think he has gotten better as the season went on. Earlier this year they played down to the level of their competition way too much. Now they are plungering teams.

I still don't like Mora and still think he will fail. He did pull a few wins out of his ass this year to make him look better. I give him those. I could be wrong, but biased on his resume, I don't think he is a good head coach.

I see UCLA staying in at least the top 10-15 nationally for as long as Moras here. The OL and front seven is emerging as a real strength of the team and the QB coming in next year has way more hype than Hundley ever had. UCLA historically has been a top 20ish program that recruited well but played like a bunch of pussies. Under the Mora they recruit even better and they are one of the TUFFest teams in the p12. Though I admit - to break through to consistent top 10 level they need to get the sloppiness and NFL conservatism out a little bit.

Next two years I think are critical for UW/UO rivalry and North supremacy. Stanford is regressing (and Grantland says Hogan is early NFL bound), Peterson hits that year 3 springboard, and Helfrich tries to prove he's not Larry Coker in the post-Mariota world.

Either way, you miserable fucks will say everything sucks except Alabama and Dantonio, which won't be that interesting.

"After UCLA consecutive games and got boat raced by Oregon, even his staunchest HHB supporters abandoned him."

    Disagree.

If you believe in stars fat TBS writers come up with, Oregon probably has top 12 talent at worst.

Yeah I'm not saying mora is shitty. He just hasn't proven to be elite, and I've seen him shit the bed on GameDay enough to know that won't change.

Sounds like you're going to need to see a championship.

I said Mora Jr. was a solid, but not spectacular coach. I've argued with HHB's for years over the godlike praise they heap upon him. Beating Sark in the Rose Bowl hasn't changed anything. They were preseason top ten anyway.

I wasn't as hard on (huhuh) Smith as some, but like everybody else said: Start doing it against the top 25 teams. That goes for Miley, CP, Quietkowski and the entire program. At least have a prayer for the God damn North on 11/15. I'm not asking the world here. That said, I don't think play calls cost them a bunch of gaymes. The only one I sort of wonder about is AZ St.

Actually, Mora isn't a JR. He has a different middle name than his dad. I think Jim L Mora is what you were looking for here.

I'm right here. I just don't like to bash people after they do good.

I wait to kick them when they're down.

It's easier for everyone that way.

Fuck you and all who revel in the pain and displeasure of others.

The Smith bashers? They're waiting for UW to beat a quality team with a winning record.

Working the shaft is more important, not that I'd know. Don't twist.

Wasn't Hundley a 5 star recruit? UCLA will have talent, but replacing Hundley with a freshman or Jerry Neuheisel and there may be a step back. It's tough to say though because the rest of your team is loaded. Somewhere between 10-20 seems about right. It's too bad Hundley isn't coming back, because you may have entered at #1 next year if he did.

He was. Hundley had a lot of hype coming in and performed. Josh Rosen is the unanimous #1 QB and top 10 player nationally across all TBS sites. Hundley wasn't on that level out of HS, which is no shot at Hundley, so don't twist.

Depending on how QB transition goes - it won't be Neuheisel - I think they'll end up between 8-4 and 10-2. Which will be in that 10-20 range. Schedule is much much easier thankfully for the new QB. Take off Huskies and Ducks and pick up Beavs and Coogs. Non-Conf should be 3 wins (uva byu unlv all at home) as well.

It's very hard for me to upvote something that is about as bad as watching my dog get beheaded in front of me, but it's a good joke, so f it. But, fuck, I do NOT want that to happen.
