Can a NFL player break their contract?
-
The NFL has the worst professional players union out of all major sports with their non guaranteed contracts. I understand why with the high turnover rate of players and how large the rosters are.
-
I just am having trouble wrapping my head around this.
UW, which it seems most here feel are playing poor and nobody wants to play for, signed Demond, who might be a top 20 QB in the country, to top 10 money.
Demond, like any one probably would, liked UW enough to commit there for another year by signing the top 10 contract.
Then the dirtiest guy in college football came along and tampered with the guy and paid a top 20 QB top 5 money after he signed the top 10 contract. And now UW is cheap and no one wants to play for them.
I cannot handle the ups and downs of college football.

Williams was committed to Lane at Ole Miss before Fisch flipped him to Arizona, so there's already a connection between player and coach
Once Lane realized he wouldn't flip Trinidad from Ole Miss, he probably moved all his chips onto Williams without any regard to what type of contract he had with UW
-
Low probability, but very possible in all of this hot lawsuit talk. What prevents LSU (or whoever) from saying this isn’t worth the headache and withdrawing their offer to Demond. Then Demond backtracks and says he’ll stay with the UW contract. Then we owe him $4m and we are trying to get out of the contract. The more I type the more I think this is what happens. UW will end up paying the money and not having Demond play.
-
Would be comedy to force him to stay and sit him as QB3 if we had the money to do it…figure it’s all a negotiation now.
-
So he'll have one promising season in the Palouse before transferring to Fla State

We have a @DeepDawg
But not a @DeepDishDawg ???
-
The mental gymnastics here are fucking hilarious sometimes.
UW is "cheap" for overpaying for Demond.
Christ.
