BREAKING NEWS - Demond Williams

I think damages would be easy to show. You don't have your QB. Boom. That was the benefit of the bargain for UW. I give the little guy $$, he plays QB for me. Damages are right there.
Yeah, the courts don't like to enforce labor contracts as a matter of policy. Something about slavery. So, no specific performance but definitely contract damages. And if we? have to go out and spend more to get someone else, even easier.

My God what an insufferable dufus. He just continues to play the role of the fool, right out of central casting.

We can simultaneously not be distraught over our slightly above average QB leaving while still being infuriated by our incompetent head coach

Cool …
Far better to be the cuck sitting in the corner only to get up when you're told to bend over and take it up the ass
What is taking place is bad business
What's going on in college sports in general is not sustainable
If pursuing legal action blows up the unsustainable faster … all the better

The contract the DB from Wisconsin signed last year was a pre revenue share deal. He signed a two year contract to let Wisconsin essentially take control of his NIL and get him “deals”. The whole thing was a gray, hazy legal document hard for the courts to uphold when Wisconsin filed. Williams signed a contract for direct revenue share money. A lot of it. He signed, he backed out and now UW doesn’t have an experienced QB, or as Creep said, might need to overpay for one this late in the game with less experience. Take your pound of flesh in this deal. Damages are real on the UW side. Either from LSU, Miami, whomever or Demond himself. You can’t sign a lease on a car, turn around, find a better lease across town and just say you aren’t paying on the first lease anymore. Deals done kid. The original dealership has your agreement and your signature.

🤣 🤣 🤣 lmao

Having a qb you sued to keep would make for a special season. Fisch had a contract with Arizona. Need to put buyouts to have any teeth
And this is what poor schools do

As others have pointed out a lawsuit is necessary for a number of reasons, and as you point out, the terms and basis of UW's contract are different from those the Wisconsin suit was based on. UW's contract seems far more likely to be enforceable. Williams is clearly in breech of that contract, and praying_dog.gif, there is strong evidence that LSU is guilty of tampering. Collecting damages from both parties would be beyond sweet, and might prove a deterrent for some of the current portal nonsense.
Either way, IMO, UW also needs to move on from Williams. He is now toxic, and I can't remember any D-1 program that has won at the highest levels with a true smurf at QB. They can be fun to watch when they digress into sand lot football mode, but they're not going to challenge elite defenses. If there is a silver lining, Fisch's hand has been forced and UW has shown it is willing to spend.

Quit plagiarism my shit fucko

He shouldn't be sued to keep, he should be sued for breech of contract and penalized. Take a sizable chunk of whatever he gets wherever he lands. Tantamount to a buyout. Agree this should be part of the agreement to begin with, that would likely make the agreements more enforceable, might even help to avoid litigation.
