"Don't want to suck" ain't got nuthin to do with it.

Here's the thing. A veteran coach getting paid top drawer money doesn't get to do a reboot. He's gotta be competitive out of the gate.

Slingblade is following a legend, he gets 1.8 million per to figure out how to fill those wide shoes to even 85% or door, ass, out, with a cheap parachute.

Peterman is the supposed legendary coach following the mediocrity posted by the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. Perterman is supposed to be one of these Chip Kelly caliber guys who should by able to take a shitstorm of a QB, find out the one thing or two he can actually do, and exploit the shit out of it over and over.

Chip got Spicoli to smoke his reefer at The Tournament of Roses Confab. He made this shithead look fucking brilliant against Pete Carroll on Halloween Night 2009. He followed that up by taking a guy that rivals Miley Cyrus for bad wind ups, in his first year as starter, and got him to play the closest game played against the SEC champ during the BCS era.

Are you telling me that for Chip Kelly type scratch peterman can't wring/conjure/threaten with permanent benching, a fucking decent offensive season out of ANY of Sark's short bus types?

At $3.5 million per there should be no honeymoon for someone who supposedly hits the ground running.

The OKG/Sark Stench mantras are rationalizations for expensive failures in coaching and tactical decisions already seen.

Kelly was a guy that could beat your players with his more often than not, and at the final gun you also knew that he could probably take your players and beat his own just to show you up.

Pete doesn't seem to be that high of caliber if he truly "needs time" or his "own guys" to be competitive for about twice what Slingblade makes.

Peterman has matched Sark's first year magic with 5 wins. He's now playing with house money and with one more win will have UW in a bowl game in year one.

husky fans are pissed off after getting their hopes up by reading press clippings about how they were going to march into Autzen and beat the ducks at home.

Anyone who believed that is KrisVashonFS.

What did anyone see this year that made you believe the fighting Peterman's could even sniff Oregon's jockstrap? In Autzen? The Cal game? The throwback unis? Please.

    This fanbase deserves another owen12.

Canard is telling u guys What i been saying all along to pin ur hopes on a savior of a coach without the jimmies and the joes is utter nonsense. You have mid level Pac 12 talent and nowhere near being a factor in conference race.

That's not at all what I am saying. My charge is that UW has some offensive talent, but that it is being both misidentified and misused. That's inexcusable given the supposed experience brought to the table and the salary commanded.

The problem with college coaching is that Petersen needs to run his offense, if the guys there now can't do it, then it's going to suck until he gets a couple recruiting cycles into the system. Petersen can't run Sark offense and expect to get the guys he needs for his offense. The kids need to see that what Petersen is currently running fits their skill set. That's in large part why RichRod failed at Michigan. Michigan threw him out the door before they could see his finish product on the field. He basically had two convert the program from a 3-4 yard and a pile of dust offense into a spread offense. Nobody could do that overnight. Lets be honest, RichRod would have taken that team under Hoke's first year to a much higher level.

Now this isn't the same kind of adjustment, but it's still an adjustment nonetheless.

I trust a guy on a message board more than a proven championship coach after 3 games.
How many D1 teams have you coached? Thought so.

So you're saying that Peterman's system is so rigid that it can't work with any of Sark's guys? I haven't looked it up, but if UW isn't the #12 offense, they can fumble it to there. Certainly with the experience of running out shitty BSU QBs not named Moore, he should have some insights over eight years as a HC into tailoring a playbook into something the current QB and other skill players can actually move the ball with, right?

Oh well. LIFPO. It will be entertaining either way.

Speaking of LIFPO, not that I care much, but it will a good case study to see how the Oregon Lambo fares the next 18 games. In particular those without Mariota. Too perplexed with my own program to care much but I'm betting it will be a good sideshow distraction. Good luck with all that.

    He gets 15 games.

But that doesn't mean I don't agree with several of your main Petahmus points... I think you're spot on, Canard.

Nobody in the p12 is scared of CCP and the huskies. The local CU buff homers have the 11/1/14 game circled as a win, for example.

When I attended the game in 2012 - the buffs were already congratulating the UW team for a win while walking into Folsom field.

Now they smell blood in the water....

    Trophy's don't come in halves.

Not that I'd expect someone who's never seen one to know that.

According to the standards back then, the Ducks would have their own half natty. But we actually had to take the field....

And according to later standards UW wins the 60 and 84 titles going away.

You go by the standards of the day.

    Fuck off Todd Turner.
