Yeah - this duck isn't just talking bullshit like obkfs. He was around when the ducks were the recipient of the plunger, and I'm sure he's liking it that we're now taking the plunger up our backside - dry, with some flint.MisterEm said:
Dflea is always welcome in my boat as a fellow steelface chaser... but this duck speaks a lot of truth.Canard said:When you went on a 17-3 run in the James Era, there wasn't a rivalry going on either. Except there was—and it was utter contempt on your part and impotent rage on our part. That rage got a permanent cocktail of Viagra+Cialis+Astro-Glide, courtesy of PK's bottomless wallet, and you still have the contempt—and academics smack.
I have been ragging on CPC because he looks like yet another "wait and see" hire. If he were "The Answer," Saturday's game would have been a helluva lot closer because Perterman has won in Autzen before and allegedly doesn't need fucking training wheels.
He should have laid out Miley Cyrus out on the Altar of Respectability and zone read his ass into the ambulance last Saturday if he wanted to make a statement. It's not like it's not already a lost season or something. Run Miley, Lungfish, and Black Power into the fucking ground and drain the clock on Oregon, come what may.
Nope. Pete wants to wait, and that's the tell that you are some sort of $3.5 million per retirement plan. When you need to be fucking competitive for the boosters right fucking now against Oregon, he's waiting for more bullets instead of coming up with his vaunted "anything goes" game plan that he's been resting upon forever.
How you gonna wait for next year with a shitty, hollowed out defense? Oregon's offense will be retooling, but Freeman and all of those young receivers you couldn't outplay already are a shit ton to build off of.
Peterman downplayed the rivalry because he wants five years before he really has to try to win it with his tenure then on the line.
If you had what you thought you were getting, there'd have been a scorched earth game plan installed for Saturday, and there just wasn't any sign of that.
Expected more cutthroat in Pete on gameday but instead I've seen more whitefish and sculpin so far.
Maybe I've been living outside of the PNW too long.
I expected a better game out of the team and the coach. I didn't even know what the fuck to say or do, except drink more.
Fuck oh dear I've had enough bullshit football. That shit on Saturday was worse than a whitefish or sculpin - it was a god damn fungus-headed chum hooked on a prized spinner. -
Petersen needs to find a way to score points. Period. There's no excuse to just throw your hands up if you don't have a quarterback that fits your system. He was brought in to fix Seven's garbage. Canard is right, we should have been read-optioning or optioning to take advantage of the only thing Miles could do that is worth a shit. The overall attitude of the team was terrible as well. It's not just another game, it's an embarrassment. Fuck, I don't even want to talk about that shit anymore. If they can beat ASU and roll off a good win streak it will be fine.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

This is either a retirement plan while winning 8-9 games a year because the fanbase is so pussy, or he has no faith in the last remnant of Sark's guys and wants to just get them the fuck out of here because they can't execute his system. Either way it will be depressing.

Me carried away? I put it to you that too many UW fans have gotten carried away with the "CP is now the best coach in the Pac" bullshit. He was the best coach in the FUCKING WAC and WAC 2.0. Boasting about hiring the tallest midget to compete in a big boy league is just open microphone comedy night fodder until proven otherwise.
"We made it too easy for them."
Who is that on, and at what price again?
Kindly light the plunger on fire before you pull out your pink sock. TIA -
Marcus doesn't give two shits about individual awards in a team sport, especially a media awarded one. It's a facet of his personality that makes him a great football player in this narcissistic age of "Me Me Me."pawz said:

The jury is out on Petersen's genius, but his ceiling is much higher than Sark and he's at worst a 7-9 win coach, which is what we had from '93 - '03 and Snark. Who exactly blows him away right now? Graham? Rickrod? Mora? Not really. More hidden Quook fear that the run is ending...
Lol. I saw nothing on Saturday that even began to suggest The Streak is in any danger any time soon.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:The jury is out on Petersen's genius, but his ceiling is much higher than Sark and he's at worst a 7-9 win coach, which is what we had from '93 - '03 and Snark. And neither did anyone else.

The lack of fight was the most disappointing part of the hussy (they played like impudent young girls) appearance at Autzen Stadium. I had expected after the gritty Stanford and dominating Cal performances that the team would at least match the Ducks in physicality and fight. But, evidently that Sark stink is as difficult to get rid of as skunk odor. I didn't expect a win, but I didn't expect them to lay down and be plungered so easily.haie said:

Very few of the players showed passion. Even our four NFL quality defensive players looked like pussies much of the game. I expected much more from Petersen at this point in the season.
I liked the competitiveness and fight Troy Williams showed. I would like to see him starting, because Miles isn't going to get it done.
