My old season tickets (pre Covid) were 300 level north deck on about the 35 yard line under cover. Best I could do without paying Tyee fees. Folks up there were enthusiastic Dawg fans but not stand the entire game zealots.

Took the fam to the 1st half of Colorado State and got some Section 100 seats (35 yd line) on the cheap on StubHub. Was surprised to see how different the vibe was. All these sports dorks were standing for like 81% of the plays.

Everybody that wants to sit the entire time has a frumpy significant other. No exceptions.

    Spot on my dude.

Look, I can get as rowdy and loud as any Husky Fan when appropriate. I've got Dancing on the Autzen 50 yd line followed by smoking weed with @RaceBannon and talking shit on my resume.

But standing the entire game for Colorado State is some faux tuff guy, sports dork garbage.

    Situationally appropriate standing is fine.

In the lower 100s, south side. Feels like this has changed with age demos. Growing up, even when we were a real progrum, I remember very little standing, even in big games. Then the progrum was so sad for a long time there either were enough gaps to make it not necessary and general malaise. Now it feels like any big game is stand the entire game and lesser games on big downs.

you have to stand if you’re in the 100 level. They fucked up the sight lines when they built the thing..

You have to be paying attention to the game though. You see Betty's attention span when she's inhaling that licorice?

I had some huge couple get all bitchy with me just trying to get by them even though as far as I could tell I didn't touch her mountain of candy and shit she had in front of her. I'm sitting here 'sister we're the only 3 people in our row right now and you're like 6 seats from the end. Prepare to be doing this another 50+ times in the next 4 quarters, why are you even here?

In 2021 I sat a few rows behind our bench because some scared Amazon Level 7 bros didn't want to catch Covid. I haven't sat down there since. I'm glad they're giving the AD money but I don't want to be around those people.

There’s so many fucking TV timeouts, what difference does it make?

Take a seat during the Jardian ad.

TLDR - wall too low, seats too shallow cause need for standing

Faggy stadium design thread! I'm an upper decker and yeah, sitting mostly with exception of big plays, need for extra lungs stuff. Its science or something. That said the pitch of the seats in the 100 level is shallow, and though the wall from row 1 to field is higher than it used to be (literally the same level) its not great for sight lines. At the old stadium the first 5-7 rows were always empty with the exception of band day and when the jumbotron became a thing and whores in the student section wanted to see themselves on the screen. The few Seahawk games I attend thanks to a friend is basically the same thing. Row 7 behind the bench. Cool being close, but absolutely shitty sightlines for anything down field. To each their own.

I’ll stand for big games because most people are. I don’t mind either. The past two weeks I sat unless it was third down. When I was young I stood no matter who was playing but I was also in section 8 so the visiting fans could eat my ass if they had a problem.

TV timeouts are bad. I remember against CSU we had one after a TD. Then kicked off then got hit with another and it was like 2 minutes before a quarter break. It does give you time to grab a beer or piss though.

In true sell outs it's actually more comfortable to stand because it's so cramped. I remember in the track and moat days if it was truly packed standing was a must because the lower people couldn't see at all if they didn't.

I do think it's important to go with the flow of your section. In this case the first 20 rows of our section were 80% to 100% standers so we just went with it. Would be fine doing a lot of standing for Ohio State or Oregon, but I'm pushing damn near 50 and sometimes I just want to sit down with my cold Messican beer and watch the game. Plus I'm a judgmental snob and I'd like to make fun the adult jersey wearing, shitty game standing, sports dorks!!

lol a 50 year old wearing a letterman jacket that wasn't for 🏈 with a Pacifico/Coors lite would 100% catch some strays from me if I saw it walking around.

If you see a slender 6' guy wearing a 2018 Petersen pullover calling you a fag at Ohio State game come over and have a beer with me.

I don't drink Lucille and all that 7% trash at the games and haven't in awhile.

lol a total of 500 people sat in Vegas, NO, and Houston combined.

TV timeouts are a different story. If you paid for a ticket it's not your job to stand for Ozempic, etc.

This is good example of situational, big game standing.

sit in the upper deck in the down low rows at mid field, no problem, people are chill and stand at big game moments and otherwise are cool with the excellent sight lines. In lowest level seats, sight lines ARE an issue so I don't blame people for trying to get a better view.

So I typically just go to "bigger" games and try to grab seats with my pops in the lower 327 or 328 area and have a lot of fun ripping it up and making a racket but sometimes I'll look around and it's surprising how many people in that area are sitting on their hands during 3rd downs. Maybe I expect too much but I have on occasion turned around and pointed directly at able bodied men of unexpected lethargy and gestured to stand up 🫵👆

Also Id like to stand more but I try to read the vibes of the section so I'm not the only douche standing for an offensive drive
