Yeah, I’m nowhere near 100k in the summer mostly. Mostly like 40k a month cause I’m doing more mt bike and peloton. 100k between now and 24th will be a challenge between skiing days and youth sportsball travel.
Yez, eez ver niiiiice workout. Most of the heavy cutting is done. There are still a bunch of medium sized branches to cut. There are also some larger rounds I need to cut in half for easier haul-away. A couple days ago, I spent some time carrying some of the smaller rounds and stacking them. That was a little on the crossfit side (Hi Damone).
It's rough in certain months no doubt. I think my lowest month was 87K but that was a struggle with summer golf and travel. November was way more and Dec should shape up that way as well.
I got in 18,000 meter over the first 4 days so I should be on track.
The biggest challenges for me with a old man erging are: (1) it take so long to build up connective tissues and erg strength vs one's early 20s and (2) split demoralization- i.e., no matter how much I train, I will never be able to touch what I did at age 21.
Realizing 50k may be out of reach if I do any other cardio. Gonna see if I can do 2k for 25 days. Advent rowing. Watched a video last night just to confirm my form is absolute shit.
Navigated a week of onsite meetings with early starts and post-meeting social events without slipping too far. Now up to 43K. Probably too far back of the pace required to get 200K as I'd have to average 9K per day the rest of the challenge to get to that. Maybe if the weather stays cold and miserable there is a shot, and would have to prioritize just knocking out distance instead of intervals and mixing up pieces. Considering I've only cleared 9K twice in a day since the start of this that seems unlikely.
(I should also be in a normal schedule where I can finally run blood sugar tests with various smoothie combos and whatever else I agreed to)

If under a different set of personal circumstances, I would be interested.
Planning two-day water fast starting Sunday.
I’m with you in spirit.
.
@whlinder @PurpleBaze will take my bait. Maybe @Swaye
you can do next year.
I've done it every year I've owned my Concept2. So, 2020-2023 ...
Unfortunately, I'm going to skip it this year.
A big-ass tree exploded into my backyard. So, I've been cutting up and cleaning the mess.
I'm planning to do another one of their challenges in January / February to make up.
In 2024 I tried to erg 100K each month. Haven't cleared that each month but have averaged it. So, yeah sure I'll try to get 100K by 12/24.
5900 yesterday plus 8015 today. Guess I should sign up for it online.

Tried to upload some pics of the mess, but Vanilla kicked me in the ballz.
Just as well. I don't want to hijack (lulz) Yella's erg thread.

Did the pics actually display before I nuked my poast?

Fuck Vanilla with a rusty cheese grater.

Please PM me pictures of your wood.
…
I may see if I can get to 50k. My left hip flexor has been fucked for a month and the row might be good for strengthening.
I'm 24K in as of this AM.
3k.

I slacked off yesterday and today do to a cold, so only at 30K of 100K goal. Aiming to do 2 x 5000 meter with like 5 mins rest in between tomorrow.
I like to set a low bar!!
